i dont want this to sound as bad as it will! but if you have to ask that question, and i mean this trying to help you out, rather than belittle you! cuz belittling someone will never be of help to anyone! BUT with that being said, read one of the stickies above about novice programs, and choose one that you can see yourself being motivated to do! theres a GREAT 3-4 of them that will help u on your journey!!

What do you mean "low to high pull"?

"High to low pull" I assume is a lat pulldown--that's going to be targeting your lats, but your biceps will also be working, as will the teres minor and major

That wasn't even what he asked lol he just asked which part of the back is used the most in the movements. Pretty legit, given that that lats, traps, and teres minor and major are being worked in both exercises--he just wanted clarification on which group is worked the most in each one.

and my point being, if that question has to be asked, then read up! and if you dont know by now, the assumption would be that he should read up on one of the novice programs!! and understand as to why, one of them will be better than worrying about pulls on a smith machine! thats all!

u are 100% correct! i appologize! i though i was in programs section! if like you said he wants to know what that movement entails, he should have not me saying what i said! in fact i was wrong to imply him into having a better program, and rather should have answered his question as is!!

I think a high pull involves raising weight like you would an upright row, but focusing more on the back instead of the lateral delts. I think it's like the difference between sldl and rdl?

I'm not sure where high-to-low pull is coming from.

Yeah all that I could think was like a bent-over barbell row maybe?

I'm just assuming that any high-to-low pull is just a lat pulldown, but I could be wrong.

Now I'm thinking they just meant pull down vs upright row. I was kinda fixating on movements that involve the back, in which upright row doesn't really involve bac except for traps, but yeah.
