These are the issues that need to be agreed upon, please chime in with your opinion.
1) Roster Size - Currently Set at 14. Some people want larger rosters so chime in with your ideal roster size and if there is a overwhelming majority that prefers it to be expanded we can change this.
2) Starting Lineup - Currently set at 9 players. 1 QB, 2B, 2WR, 1TE, 1 K, 1 D and 1 Flex Position that can be R/WR/TE. If you'd like to get rid of the flex and just do a standard 8-man lineup chime in.
3) Scoring - If you'd like to modify any parts of the standard scoring system feel free to chime in and see if other people agree with your thoughts.
4) Draft Date. The final Pre-Season game is Aug 30th and the first Regular season game is Sept 5th, this makes the weekend of the 1st/2nd of September to be the ideal time. Personally I'd rather just set aside 3 hours sit down and knock it all out on either Sat or Sun...my schedule is wide open so I'm good with whatever. If it is clear that after a couple weeks of discussion that we cant find a specific date/time to do this we can always spread it out over the course of the last 5 or 6 days and do 3 picks a day or something along those lines.

Roster size - 14 is perfect for a 12 man league, makes all the picks more valuable.
Starting Lineup - That is the setup I use in my ($200) money league, it allows for a good amount of weekly points.
Scoring - Not sure what standard scoring in this league is but I've always been partial to .5 ppr (usually eliminates ties) and 6 pt TD's for all positions. Allows for the
best amount of weekly points and really changes the draft strategy around (should I go QB or RB first round?)
Draft Date - I would like to do a date as close to the actual season as well, I've been bitten a few times with players getting hurt in preseason games. I say the later
the better!

1. You have to go 16 with your roster size. Too many injuries throughout the course of the year and having only 14 may make you cut some guys you dont want to because they are hurt during the bye weeks. You should have two injured reserve spots too.
2. Flex should be in, allows for more scoring.
3. In my experience, giving a point for each 10 yards rushing, a point for each 10 yards receiving, and a point for each 20 yards passing makes things more exciting and also gives everyone a better chance to win. PPR is a must as well.
4. Usually the best days to do a draft is a Sunday evening. Why don't you do the draft Aug 26 so it doesn't interfere with Labor Day weekend? That is when my other drafts are going.

1. I think 16 players would be best
2. Fine
3. I prefer ppr but standard is fine
4. I believe rtsports has a slow draft option which is like 12 hours per pick I think that would be a good option for the draft."It is always wrong, for anyone, anywhere, to believe anything upon insufficient evidence" William Clifford

In.
1)Roster Size - That sounds fine to me.
2)Starting Lineup - I like the Flex position, however have you thought about adding Individual Defensive Players (I***)? It adds more to manage, but definitely rewards the more knowledgeable managers.
3)Scoring - I'll have to get back to you there, don't have my rtsports login.
4)Draft Date - September 1st or 2nd works, just as long as it is after noon EST. I have soccer every Sunday between 8:30AM to 10:10AM EST.

I'm with you on everything but this, injuries are part of the game brah. You gotta be quick on the waiver wire and do your homework as to who might be a hot pickup. You shouldn't be able to just hoard players because they're hurt, I had a guy do that in a league with no injury reserves because he thought he was gonna get over on everyone when they got healthy. Little did he know that most never played a meaningful game and he missed those players that could of won him more games.

I disagree.
I think you should have at least one IR spot for those elite players that you draft. You've invested resources in a player, and because he is sidelined for a few weeks, he isn't "hoarded" on your bench, because the replacement player has to be dropped once you activate that player again. Otherwise you run the risk of those whom drafted poorly just picking off all the elite players on the waiver wire, because there is no IR spot to secure your draft investment.
I may have not conveyed my point as clearly as I could have, but in the end no IR is going to benefit weaker managers while handicapping stronger managers.

Well we play in different leagues then, because in all of the leagues I've ever been in the waiver wire time has always been the same (say 9am on a wed) and it's always gone from whoever was last had first selection, then 2nd last and so on. But come 9 am on that Wednesday it was free reign on whoever was available. Who honestly wants to play for money when one team has all the talent?

There are 4 ways to set up the waiver wire
This isnt a bidding league so the other ones don't effect us.

On a different note I randomized the schedule so the schedule is now up.

I would be down for a limit, that's the whole reason I liked a limited bench, it really makes you think if dropping someone is gonna hurt you in the long run. So by having a large bench AND IR spots it would allow people to hoard players and basically get away scott free if one of their high picks got hurt. There has to be some kind of consequence, and that to me is deciding if it's worth it to keep a hurt player on your bench for the future or replace him for someone who can help you immediately.

1. Sounds good
2. I like the flex. Sounds good.
3. Not completely positive what "standard" consists of. I've played in extremely varying leagues. I like 25 passing yards, 1 pt. 10 rushing yards, 1 pt. 10 receiving yards, 1 pt. Touchdown, 6 pts. lost fumble, -2 pt. interception -2pt..... also, would special teams touchdowns go to both special teams players AND the player who scores? (example: desean jackson returns a punt for TD, who gets the 6 pts...or both? Also, regarding PPR, it's fun, but I wouldn't wanna do my 1st PPR league with a $100 buy-in. If some ppl haven't done PPR I would say don't do it.
4. I think the draft needs to be on a Sunday night. Sunday the 2nd would be good from me. Any Sunday really. Saturday the 1st is the start of college football. I plan on going to the NIU game at Soldier Field, will be getting yucky, don't think I'll be around then. Any other day I can be flexible with as long as it's the evening. After 7pm....Work until 5 + my commute.
Lookn forward to it fellas.Scrotum Seam Crew
