Just got into the workout scene and need to fix my diet.
FIrst off, I work 4-5 12 hour shifts each week that are from 9am - 9pm so meals are hard to come by. I normally eat around 730am, noon, four, and 7 and than workout around 930.
What are some meals that are good yet easy to make/prepare and can be done with nothing other than a microwave, fridge, and a toaster.
Also starting on the protein drinks so when is a good time to drink those and with what?
Thanks

Protein shakes early morning with oatmeal. Tuna is good/easy to make. Chicken breast on a salad, Yams are really good slow carb, not to musch deli emat cuz the salt. drink a lot of water. just eat slow digesting stuff. Casein protein, whole wheat bread, Yams, oatmeal, brown rice. brown rice in a WW wrap w/ chicken and veggies is really good. Hope this helped.

flavored kind just adds sugar. get plain oats and just add a tablespoon of organic honey, or a scoop of vanilla whey and a handfull of berries. protein can be mixed with lots of stuff, it just depends on what flavor you have. you will need a blender for this. chocolate; i usually throw in with 1 1/2c milk, 1/2 banana, about 1/4c dried oats, 2 tablespoons peanut butter, add ice to thicken as desired. vanilla or fruit whey; 1 1/2c orange juice, 1/2 banana, 1c frozen berries.

it would be hard for find a microwave dinner actually worth eating for nutritional reasons. some of the healthier versions aren't bad, but are still not the greatest for ya. i would suggest making food at home and then just taking portions to work to reheat. chili, grilled chicken, tuna salad, etc

cottage cheese is good, i eat that all the time. brown rice is ok, should be eaten with a lean protein like a chicken breast. peanut butter is good, peanut butter crackers are not. you should get some all natural peanut butter and put it on an apple or some veggies. beef jerky is a good snack too
