4th and 1, up 2 with 2 minutes left on the ATL 25 yard line and he opts for the field goal (which does nothing as everyone knows 4-6 point leads are the most useless leads at the end of the game) instead of going for it and ending the game.
Scared playcalling from the guy who helped blow a 28-3 lead.

Kyle Shanahan is an overrated head coach
All it takes is Mookie Betts, Steph Curry, and Joe Burrow all sitting in the same car in order for one drunk driver to make the world a significantly better place.

An error or mistake is not overrated.
0-9 then 6-1 last year.
then 11-3 with tons of injuries.
4-12/ 2017
6-10/ 2018

There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

In this era of deep fakes, not even video evidence will satisfy skeptics. Meet me in LA next week or Medellin the week after and I can even buy you a new phone with all the money I made from betting against the 9ers over the last 6 weeks (starting with that beautiful MNF game against the GOAThawks)

Calls niners fan base obnoxious, lol. I love drew but he will turn back into a pumpkin come playoffs. You guys are the whiniest fan base. And now desperate, with the Jenkins pickup, it’s disgusting.
As for the thread, guess we are actually responding to the nonsense. Guy above had it right...it’s saleh that is the weak link.

A lot of stupidity ITT with people not understanding leverage of situations and when it truly matters to continue to be “aggressive”
^Such as this low IQ post right here. Why wasn’t he aggressive on 4th and 1 with the game on the line? If he converts that, the game is over.
Stick to celebrating knocking yourself out of the race for Chase and keeping your mediocre HC.All it takes is Mookie Betts, Steph Curry, and Joe Burrow all sitting in the same car in order for one drunk driver to make the world a significantly better place.

49ers OL was getting dominated all game. When you're down by 2 and in field goal range and have a top 5 defense at home then you're kicking the field goal and expect your defense to make a stop. End of story.
The defense failed to get the stop.
Kittle doesn't lose the ball while trying to run for the first down and they kill the clock on offense and win the game.
Defense does their job and stop the Falcons from scoring and they win the game.
Blaming a HC for doing the obvious and ensuring the other team has to score a TD to win versus a FG is idiotic.

More excuses. The probability of winning the game by converting a 4th and 1 (which has a 70% probability of success) >>>>> giving the ball away and the opposing team a full 2 minutes to drive down the field for a touchdown. If you aren't good enough to get 1 yard to win the game then you deserve to lose the game. But at least trying for it gives you a (again, ~70%) shot to actually end the game. Everyone knows that having to kick a field goal to go up by less than a full TD is always the worst position to be in (except you apparently).
The game has passed you by, old man. Stick to watching highlights of Joe Montana.
Seattle +6 and Ravens ML were my biggest bets of the year. Thanks for playing.Last edited by YoungMetro24; 12-17-2019 at 12:19 PM.

I'm glad you've been brushing up on your analytics. Unfortunately it hasn't made you any smarter when talking football.
There are game situations a HC has to consider. There are also implications from calls that impact the team long term.
The 49ers D has been their bread and butter most of the season. Analytics may give you a high rate of success for 4th and 1 plays but 70% isn't 98%. What do your analytics say for teams holding a 2 pt lead when the other team starts on their 33 yard line.
49ers just saw their best offensive player have a super flukey fumble on what would've been an easy first down for him. The guy has been a first down machine for us all year and had his first career fumble without anyone touching him.
So now seeing something so against the odds happen you want him to go for it on the very next play and basically tell his defense he doesn't trust them to hold them from scoring a TD?
Garbage take.

The defense that got "torched" to a drive that took nearly 5 minutes off the clock and included a BS PI giving Atlanta 1st and goal at the 1 yard line?
A defense that was sitting on the bench for 3 minutes?
Yeah...i'd say a HC expecting his top 5 D to hold the other team from scoring a TD with 1:42 left to play and only 1 timeout left is the right call.
Love the old jokes but no preparation H needed. Do better.
