What's up BB,
Here is my 8 month progress photo. The picture on the left was taken in April 2013. The picture on the right was taken yesterday (Currently 197 lbs). I'm currently in a bulking phase, I want to get up to 215 and start my cutting phase come mid-February. Over the past several months, I've learned how important consistency and dedication is. Prior to April 2013 I was going to the gym on and off -it was like a fad. I went when I felt like it even though I LOVE fitness, I would subconsciously listen to the voice in my head that kept telling me "it's ok, take a break". Well those breaks turned into days, those days turned into weeks, weeks into months, then I eventually stopped going. Month long breaks were no bueno. After I came back from basic military training in October 2012, I was at 172 lbs. I joined Golds gym in March 2013, took my first "before pictures" (one of them as shown on the left) in April -I weighed in at 183 lbs. The definition and size wasn't really there, I look as if I'm trying to hug myself. I continued to eat clean and consistently work out. Now I'm not the type of person to count my macros. I keep more of a mental note in regards of that. I pay attention more to timing. Eating the right foods at the right time is what really works for me. Everyone's different, some people NEED to track their macros to see results. Do what works for you!
I hope you enjoy the picture, any tips on gaining or cutting please feel free! I've never tried a cutting phase before so I'm really looking forward to hearing what you all have to offer as far as having a successful cutting phase.

Great work!
I'm the same. Motivational videos are cool and all - - but the real motivation is tracking individual progress! I truly believe that true motivation must come from within in order for action to REALLY continue.
I'm always comparing year-to-year. Every month I take a photo and talk about my physical strength, condition, flexibility, etc. I always compare the same month to the prior year. As long as good progress is being made - - I'm motivated.
Again, great work man! Keep it up.Paul Teixeira
