Her acting is on another level of chitty but it's atrocious across the board. Even ewan mcgregor's voice acting is laughably bad.

Dumb and cringe writing is insane here but then Leia chase scene happens and I tune out

I watched a few episodes of Mandalorian. Aside from the aesthetics, the show was below average.

None of these spin off shows deliver. Marvel, Star Wars, GoT, The Witcher. That's why I stopped bothering long ago. They are meant to be consoomed by superfans who are easily impressed.

it was one of the worst shows they have done, boba fett was terrible too.

had mediocre acting, incredibly stupid plot convenience, laughable action scenes that made no sense or the characters did stupid things, and it introduced multiple characters that had no purpose and that we had no emotional connection too. The story they ran with literally breaks canon in dozens of ways, but nobody cares because disney doesn't care about old star wars at all and someone actually thought this was good.

just a few of the dumb things they did, there were others, but these were egregious given the fact it's their own story they are ****ing up. (spoilers)

1) obi wan acts like he doesn't know vader is anakin, but he knew this at the end of episode 3 when he talks to yoda and they watch the ******** footage of vader and he knows clearly that anakin becomes him. yet this is the big reveal in the early part of the show when reva tells obi wan "oh, you didn't know...did you?" or w/e she says....such a stupid thing to **** up and shows they didn't even watch or pay attention to the prequels.

2) leia acts like she never knew obi wan. when obi wan dies later on in the original movies, leia doesn't care all that much considering she actually had as close of a relationship if not a closer one than him than Luke did. Obi wan saved her life multiple times and then less than a decade later she doesn't remember him at all? guarantee they will try to retcon this somehow if the show is picked up for another season (hope not)

3) george lucas said obi and vader never fought after obi wan beat anakin in episode 3, yet they fought multiple times here and obi wan someone escaped the first time even though vader had no reason to let him go? Then obi wan out force powers vader when they fight a second time? And he doesn't kill him when he knows vader won't stop? Dumb. Of course we knew the outcome ahead of time (my point #11)

4) obi wan was rusty with force powers to too large an extent. baby grogu from mandalorian suppressed his powers for exactly the same amount of time and learned them back almost instantly despite being a baby (in his race), but a great jedi master is unable to force push an object just because he's tried to not use the force that much over the last decade or two? seemed like they tried too hard to hold his powers back then unleash them all at once and it just felt a bit stupid.

5) reva's mind reading power was arbitrarily powerful based on what the writers needed. It made little to no sense how she could instantly read some people's minds, but not others. The fact she couldn't read leia's mind was so stupid given the level of power reva was shown to have and leia being a small child who doesn't even really know about the force. she randomly didn't know things that made no sense given that she could scan someone's mind effortlessly a lot of the times. marvel and disney have a hard time with powers. they will show someone being incredibly strong one scene and then weak the next, they rarely know how to balance powers and damage done and whatnot and it's always funny to see what hurts or doesn't hurt someone. of course they try to use the cop out of "well it doesn't always work well against those strong in the force", but that's a weak writers cop out that lets them get away with making up w/e they need to on the spot.

6) reva lives? wtf? she was stabbed through by vader. first the grand inquisitor lives and now reva lives, i'm tired of people not dying and there never being real stakes in these shows. qui gon died getting stabbed almost identically. i know not all injuries are the same, but it's a lightsaber through the ****ing torso and then she's walking around totally fine a bit later acting like it was just a gut punch.

7) reva attacks luke ? she wasn't able to ascertain his relation to vader so her plan was to murder a child because he was somehow important to obi wan, even though killing kids is the thing she secretly hated vader for all along? makes absolutely no sense, and they went out of their way to have this scene added in. it was so dumb.

8) luke sees a lightsaber as a child? so now when obi wan gives him his fathers in episode 4 it doesn't make any sense that he doesn't say "i remember like 8 years ago when some lady came and tried to kill my family in the night with a red one of these"

9) qui gon a ghost? he lacked the force gravitas to become a force ghost according to george lucas, so yet again they just don't pay attention to simple details they should know. sure it was cool to see him, but according to the dude who wrote the entire mythos, this isn't possible, so why not just have his voice?

10) trying to make reva out to be good. this was mind boggling. so because vader killed all the kids when she was young at the academy, she spends a lifetime becoming a sith lord and killing innocent people along the way so that one day she might have the balls to try to beat up vader when he trusts her enough to let his guard down? at the end they act like she's all absolved of anything when its like, dude you cut a mans hand off a day or two ago and murdered a jedi in the street and hung his body in front of kids, this is a bad lady, stop trying to make her good, they always do this silver lining thing where everyone is redeemable somehow and it's painful and obvious.

11) we knew going in nobody of relevance died. this can apply to a lot of prequels, but since we know that none of the main characters (obi wan, leia, luke, owen, beru, vader) die until episode 4 or later it makes a lot of the drama pretty meaningless. the only new characters they added where two annoying and poorly acted women so that didn't help.

overall a real ****ty show even if you wanted to watched just for fun and don't care about breaking original star wars lore/canon it's still a bad show with too much plot convenience (**** magically happening exactly as it needs to for the show to progress at that moment) and a lot of bad acting and just boring stuff.

despite typing a lot, i'm not mad or anything and i knew this show would suck balls going in, but growing up as a star wars fan it makes me sad the only good thing they have made in the last decade or more is the Mandalorian and even that wasn't tremendously good, but i liked most of the episodes well enough. it boggles my mind when i watch a show and on the first watch through i'm catching countless mistakes and things that don't add up, it just shows how ****ty the new age of writers and editors are and what people are willing to accept. inattention to detail is infuriating when you know how much they are spending on the shows.

the worst part is that almost none of what made this show bad needed to happen. they went out of their way to make it all happen and that's what is hard to stomach. they just needed a simple show with a simple story with some flashbacks to training and whatnot with anakin and obi wan, and having obi wan find his powers again and perhaps a few additional things. they went too far out of the way to make it complex and saturated with everything other than obi wan and anakin.

I didn't love her acting but her character didn't bother me.

The Jedi are like massive psychic warriors which is why Yoda is a great character. He is tiny but that has nothing to do with his mind and life force, so don't underestimate him.

So, Saniqua Windu can look like a chubby black woman and still be a Jedi/Sith.

Just the same, the Princess Leia kid was borderline annoying but at the same time, she's one strongest Force people in the universe. So, she could know and do things others would not be able to.

Overall, I thought the show was cute rather than epic.

none of them were good, Rogue One and Mandalorian are the only passable ones

fuark if anything they even made the prequel trilogy look better lol

I just watch them to see what they do with it but I don't let it taint the OG trilogy

what does bother me are the "remastered" versions of IV-V-VI they put out with the ridiculous CGI changes made by Lucas

It didn't make a lot of sense that they met. It should have been the case that Darth didn't even know Obi Wan was around or involved.

Darth is not stupid and would likely figure out some kind of connection between everything. So, they should have had Obi Wan operating right under everyone's noses.
