consoles are far from dead. It's just the players supporting them now play Fifa and cod. That's it. The core console gamers do not share interests with anyone in this thread, nor do they gaf about their chitty taste impacting others. They're too fukking dumb to avoid impulsively $100/month on CoD skins. It really is that dire. The gaming industry has realized two things: Gaming is gambling, and vanity sells.


Game isn't coming back, brahs. They're just figuring out how to lock everything down to this paradigm. They WANT gamers who care about quality to leave. They absolutely DO NOT WANT your voice in their purview.

Tis a typical corporate strategy. Once you have enough marketshare, you can decide who your buyers are. Xbox is absolutely trying to force this with their business practices. We knew that as soon as they offered that insane deal that was game pass....then started buying up all the remaining decent studios. They do not want qualitative competition when they're trying to for a quantitative market metric of market share. These companies have enough money that they can buy into ANY industry and shut it down. Sony is slowing things down....but they're going to be undercut until they concede.

As soon as she figures out she can port Fifa and CoD to mobile it's done. M$ will have a gaming app like steam that just shovels chit and they will pull out of hardware.
