I sure as hell don’t recall Trump pushing for third parties or coalitions being formed. No - he DEMANDED the “loyalty” of the Republican Party to him. And probably the best thing that could be done re: the uniparty is getting rid of the electoral college. “Conservatives” will never go for that though because you keep losing the popular vote.

Back in the early 20th century Lenin spent years battling leftists who would refuse to work within the system to try to get ahead. He wrote a pamphlet called "left wing communism - and infantile disorder." He basically chastised the idiots in England and other places in Europe who wouldn't compromise or try to find allies to get more power. He admitted that the Bolsheviks did work with bourgeois parties and did work within the existing framework because it helped further their goals. Anarchists, Libertarians and Marxists all share the same trait of wanting to be the smartest kids in the classroom, smell their own farts, and bask in their intellectual superiority while they shoot spitballs everyone else. Meanwhile they get nothing done. Here was a chance for them to ingratiate themselves to Trump who could help them get more prominence and more representation and what do they do? Act like five year olds. Fuk'em.
