    I am juggernaut challenge 2014

Hey everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself to other participants in the 2014 I am Juggernaut Challenge. I’m Katie and am excited to be surrounded by such motivating, inspirational and knowledgeable people. My fitness journey has consisted of being involved in an amazing gym with a personal trainer back home (Philly) over a year ago and then having to relocate for my new job. I went thru 3 months of vigorous training in Georgia and my body was beat up. I had to heal. After the training, I moved to Maryland (Upper Marlboro) and haven’t done much since then. I am looking forward to becoming engaged with fitness again and hitting my goals. At this time, my goals would be to gain muscle and strength, bench press over 85 lbs, improve my eating habits and mainly learn and connect with the fitness world. I think my main challenge will be the self motivation but with the challenge and others encouraging words I know that will end up being the least of my worries.
I apologize now since I am not blog savvy, just bear with me. I am currently in the process of setting up my profile.
Again, I look forward to “meeting” all of my fellow contestants!!!

My start date for the challenge (picture with newspaper) will be Monday, January 13th. That is the start of my new work schedule. In the meantime I have been working on my eating habits and slowly but surely getting back into the gym. I currently have Juggernaut HP Pre-workout (crimson punch~yummy), Cyclo Rem (which I haven't taken yet), Whey Delite (chocolate~again, yummy) and just purchased Infinite Force. I am currently taking a multivitamin and fish oil daily.

I Am Juggernaut 2014 Helpful Logging Hints!
Hey Juggernauts, It would seem that the challenge is OFFICIALLY under way! Lot’s of logs and lots of awesome people. Valerie Bishop (RussianLove18) and myself, Ashley Lauing (asheid) have been reading and posting to many logs and noticed that people could use a little help here and there! Because we have so many veterans yet so many exciting new faces, we wanted to give you all a few helpful hints along the way! More are posted every day on our logs! Here’s just a couple of things to get you started on your way to awesomeness!

    • Make sure your log title has “Juggernaut 2014” in it somewhere! Remember there are tons of logs from previous years and we’d hate to miss your thinking it was last year’s log!
    • Since a lot started creating our logs before Jan 1 remember that the contest didn’t officially start until Jan 1, make sure your “before” pics are on or after Jan 1 (also make sure you have the required pics 1 of you with your paper and one with the date close up on it!)
    • Make sure you strive for quality posts, a lot of people will only stop in once a day to check up on you, give them something worth reading!!!
    • Check the official rules regularly for helpful reminders on what you need to log about! Workouts, supplements (and their reviews!), diet etc. will all be important! WWW.IAMJUGGERNAUT.COM
    • Make sure your posts are all in line with the Juggernaut spirit! Be positive and uplifting to each other (and yourselves! Juggernauts are unstoppable, make sure you approach your day that way as well as your logs and remember that your log may be the only bright part of someone’s day today!)
    • The reps and IL athletes are ALL here to help you! If you are unsure, as someone, remember, we were all new to this challenge at one point! The reps have a log just click here --> The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and book mark it for use later!
    • If you’re not on our I Am Juggernaut ******** page you are missing out in a big big way! Contact Jordan Foster to get you into the group!
    • Make sure you subscribe into the logs you’re really interested in following! Trust me… this will save your sanity when you want to go looking for one of them!
    • If you go to your User CP you can add/edit your signature. We highly suggest you add your I Am Juggernaut experience link to your signature. It will make it impossible for people not to find you and your log! Believe me… We want to find your log!

If you are looking for tips on how to give your log a little color, add pics and youtube videos etc click here -->* 2014 I AM Juggernaut Challenge * Ashley Lauing (asheid) I’ve got lots posted and KennKnee added some great tips as well!
If you’re looking for advice on what to log head over to Valerie’s log --> 2014 juggernaut _russianlove18_ and check out her video she made! Lots of tips everywhere!

I have been trying to eat a lot better then I have. I have a job where sometimes I get stuck on a post and don't get to eat as often as I would like. I will be switching to new hours and hope that will allow me to get back on track. What are your thoughts on turkey sausage?? I know I need to up my protien at each meal. Approximately 20 grams with each meal. I also need to add protien shakes. I have the Whey Delite-Chocolate. What are some of your favorite recipes for shakes?

Thank you everyone for the warm welcomes.....I need that on a day where the temps will not go over 115 degrees.

If I were you, I would enter all this into a nutritional analyzer (there are a few online for free, sparkpeople is one for example) to see what your calories and macros are (carbs, protein and fats). Your dedication and commitment are great so make sure that youre using the right formula to ensure your success!!!

    Ohhhh the chocolate delight...YUMMY!!!
My personal favorite is to add some ice and a package of instant coffee (starbuck has their little via packs or you can get generic ones just like it!) and blend away for a coffee shake!
Adding a couple tablespoons of peanutbutter and ice makes a peanutbutter shake (add some malt powder if you like malts and it's delicious!)

    Smile

I have been Mia from my log but today is a lot of firsts for me. First and foremost, day 1 of the challenge for me officially. I have updated my progress photos. Go take a look!! It's day 1 of my new shift at work. I am now workings evenings. For the past 8 years I have had early morning hours so its a big change. It was day 1 of cardio in awhile. I was on a treadmill with an incline of 4 and did intervals for a total of 15minutes. I was shocked I was able to last that long since its been awhile. (Patting myself on the back). I don't like treadmills, I always feel like I'm going to fall off but I did it. My knees will thank me later....not!! It's the first time I will be trying my IL Cyclo Rem. I curious to see how this will work for me. Check back tomorrow for an update!! Thank you for welcoming me with open arms....or computers lol.....I'm glad to be apart of this lifestyle. I hate calling it a challenge.

Love Cyclo REM. I only get 5-6 hours a night, so I need it to be the best, most restful sleep.

Glad to have you in the IAJ! Have fun! Let us know if you ever have any questions. Tomorrow is #juggernautmode Monday!
