Quest Bar Review! (Peanut Butter Supreme & Apple Pie)

First off, never really thought protein bars were necessary but I had a little extra cash and the profile of the bar + other reviews pushed me to purchase 12 Bars of each (PB Supreme & Apple Pie). Now I have read that microwaving them can make them better but this first post is strictly off 1 bar each, non- microwaved. Will update when I microwave them later.

Profile
PB Supreme- 210 Cals, 21 g Carbs, 20 g Protein.
Apple Pie- 170 cals, 24 g carbs, 20 g protein.
Overall, this is one of the best profile for protein bars that I have seen. This was the main selling point for me purchasing them.

Texture
PB Supreme- Little moist/ oily and very chewy. Was kind of thrown off with it being that slick when I have previously read they are very hard/rough to bite in. The bar was pretty damn chewy which I found enjoyable and was quite filling to my surprise. Also was nice there were little peanut chunks in it.
Apple Pie- Pretty similar feel and touch as the PB supreme, also chewy. Felt it was kind of dry at first thought but this could change once I heat it up. Also had little apple pieces in it which was nice and not hard to chew at all like I had previously read.

Taste
PB Supreme- I enjoyed this one a little bit more than the apple pie. Seemed to have a strong pb taste which I enjoy since I could survive on just eating peanut butter alone. Kind of hard to find something to compare it to but was somewhat similar to Nature Valley peanut bars which are very tasty. Overall the taste I would give a 9/10.
Apple Pie- This was also very good but not quite as good as the PB Supreme IMO. Tastes pretty damn similar to real apple pie but not quite as sweet. Strong taste of apple in each bite which was pleasant and like I mentioned earlier it seems like small apple chunk in it which was a nice touch. Overall the taste I would give a 8/10.

Overall opinion
I must say I did enjoy these a lot more than I expected. Expected to taste very dry and not taste anything like the flavor it was described as I have had other bars not taste much like the flavor. You can't really beat the profile of these bars and like I mentioned the taste was great and was much better than my expectations. Quest Bars has me as a customer for awhile because these bars were delicious and are great for a snack to reach macros. Really look forward to trying some of the other flavors but not sure when I will be able to since I just spent a lot of money recently on xmas presents and some other supps.

Thanks for the review! Next time, try throwing the bar in the micro (unwrapped of course lol) for 10-15 seconds. It completely changes the texture and taste

I've never been a real big fan of PB Supreme, but the Apple Pie has always held a place near and dear to my heart.

Microwaved, it's near the top of both the original and Natural line, that's all there is to say. It's wonderful.
