War Against The Machines: DS Adrenalean vs. EMISGOD

    Starting date: 02.02.08

This is the company making the combatant (pic of the actual combatant when it becomes available -- people think I'm weird when I ask them to take pix of my supplement bottles, so I cannot source these graphics):

    About this Log:

Let me just say a few words here. By starters, I want to publicly observe that it has been 1 year+ since the last time I have not taken some kind of Designer Supplements product or other. When I say I believe in a company and their product line, even if it means chasing down discontinued stock (which I have done with a few of their products), I will put forth the extra effort. Why? I am a person of integrity and a man of my word and that's what persons of that caliber do. I have said it before, but I will repeat it here. Designer Supplements is in my Top 2 list (along with AEN) of favorite, outstanding, high quality companies. I have also switched over nearly all of my daily protein to Whey Supremacy, discounting the random tubs of different flavors I want to try.

Next, this is my 10th Product Log on bb.com and may (and probably will) be the last for a while. I'm hoping to be in single digit bf% sooner rather than later and while I feel I owe a lot of success to this bb.com community, warts and all, I may not be able to publicly reach it during a Log. I will continue to track it in BodySpace, so those of you who care on way or the other about my journey can continue to watch the graph fall. It's ironic, in a way, that a declining line is a measure of success.

I have said elsewhere that 210 is the magic number. I believe this reasoning now to be flawed. I am gaining cut lines somewhat and continuing to drop fat, even with the slight slop I had in my diet this week, but I now believe that the magic number will be somewhere between 210 and 200. I am not sure exactly where, other than that it will be over 200. I do not realistically expect to get there in this Log, but I'm pretty sure it will happen before my birthday...

As for this product, it should be fairly interesting. I have a pretty solid base to compare it against, even in just the DS line as I've done a lot of tinkering with Basic Cuts and various other items stacked, Basic Cuts overloaded and then the entire LX2 program I did. I still think Basic Cuts is easily one of the most overlooked supplements on the market (see also, Vigor and Glucophase XR), which I find almost incredible, given its price point. I will also be comparing Adrenalean vs. *******, which is a head to head match-up that I find somewhat bizarre...however, I said I would do it and do it I shall (further discussion can be found on this subject in the Arecoline thread in the Supp Science section: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=6395931). I am also going to put Adrenalean to the test vs. other stimulants, which are noted above. I will accordingly be testing it vs. Athletic Edge Steel Edge, vs. ErgoPharm ClearShot, vs. VPX Redline Power Rush and vs. iSatori Energizer Bullet as workout drivers.

I will also be continuing to test my formulation of a PWO product. I will NOT be discussing components of it, but may comment on its function here and there. I further will be continuing to press forward with my idea of single components in the stack for specific reasons. Not only does one size not fall all, it doesn't fit any. So what if you have 20 different things? Do you want to put thought behind your choices or just shovel scoopfuls of powder into your face robotically?

Last words before the battle is engaged:

Those of you who follow my Logs know what to expect from me. Those who didn't can find out here:

Every Log is different, but I tend to try to post daily. As I am trying to Log as much information as possible, I will continue posting dietary numbers also. As always, I will mark the posts so readers can tell which is an actual Log post and which is grabassery. I will also re-measure everything at the end of the Log.

For the workout days, I will be posting the exercises and the weights used, excluding warm-up sets. I will just mention the exercise I used for warm-ups. I will also attempt to make commentary on the various methods (drop sets, super sets, et. al.) when I am using something beyond straight/static sets. Cardio will be the exercise used and a few other factors, some meaningful to me and more for my use, some for more general information.

Special thanks to Mr. Cahill and Doc U for believing and the entire DS Dream Team for their continuing mad support.

Finally and most importantly, as always, thanks to all of you for joining me on this adventure.

Well, comparing bodybuilding supplements to highly processed tropane alkaloid derivatives is probably not at all fair, but what the Hell...I suppose I can also check into the appetite suppressant characteristics for comparison, though I did not really pay vast amounts of attention to that particular aspect at the time with the sub-legal one...

I'm not a "rep," and most "reps":

More information on the company: http://www.designersupps.com

    Workout: Cardio
    Equipment Used: Precor Elliptical
    Duration: 45 Minutes
    Driver: Cardio Mix Tape: III/B
    Calories: 540

Quality Level: Good. This was my last session with PW and it was pretty much awesome. I will get into this a bit later, but I have been having a series of very rough, very rocky days, including today. Even with all that, I was still able to tear into Cardio very efficiently tonight, which honestly surprised me...

    Diet:
    Calories: ~1916
    Total carbs: 59g or ~12.5%
    Total fat: 46.5g or ~22%
    Total protein: 299g or ~62.5%
Score: 100% (5 of 5 goals) Disqualified - 2 shots of Patron to celebrate my flatmate's birthday. I need to keep a better eye on fats or that will be problematic for my joints. Everything is good now and I'd rather it stayed that way. The diet was screwy today because I was so far off normal (more on that coming soon), to the point, in fact, where I wound up taking a nap. I may as well say it now that tomorrow is a FREE day dietarily...

Observations From The Deck: I started Adrenalean today. It had the very odd effect of making me far hungrier than normal, almost uncomfortably so, almost exactly 30 minutes after taking it. I took it with IXL, which may have had some influence, potentially. I will take them separately tomorrow to see if that changes anything. I did wind up sweating more than normal during Cardio, but I was also pushing to try to kick ass.

Auxiliary Intel: Another mental lapse today and this one cost me. In this case, it cost me a padlock that had been with me for 15 years, literally traveling with me across the United States repeatedly. I did not have my head straight all day today and once Cardio was done, threw all the **** in the locker and got ready to hit the can, but realized I needed the lock, so I grabbed the lock and since I had my car keys in my pocket, I guess I associated the weight with the keys and threw the padlock keys back in the locker and locked them in. Ladies and gentlemen, Exhibit AF1238A99 that I am a f u c k i n g dumbass.

So, I have been having crappy sleep all this week. My nose has been running, but it is confusing because there is literally nothing else wrong or even slightly off. I have been under severely heavily stimulant loads. 3 of the last 5 days have been 1g+ of stims, one day in particular was at least 1.5g+, maybe more. The old CNS cannot take a beating like that for long, so I tried to burn out the runny nose thing last night with sake (I should turn pro with my medical advice, I swear). Anyway, the sake worked, nose was fine today, except I only wound up sleeping like 5 hours and then had that half-in, half-out **** for another couple hours and all of it was under a fever dream, only without the fever...I think things are mostly back to normal now, though...I guess we'll see tomorrow. I had to ****can the Leg workout today on account of all that and Chest/Arms/Abs is scheduled tomorrow, but I will also throw in Calves, since they do not get days off.

    End Transmission

I'm going to recommend sake-bombs to all my pts with headcolds, fyi.
No head cold, just a runny nose. It was very odd. I'm glad it's gone now...sake bombs are awesome, except I also spaced warming it up...I'm really unhappy about that lock...

Yes, nice to have you. Actually, it is a Panasonic something or other, but indeed a tape player.

I usually take them out, but I wasn't all there yesterday. I forget combinations a lot, so those aren't much better...the stim load was barely and I do mean barely working during those days...

Sake Bombs FTW! Next time my 1/2 Japanese kids get sick I'll try this out on them ...
    Not just for breakfast anymore...

Oh I know you would have ( and you are one of the select few who i would trust with an Alpha) but you were doing the BC, MP logs IIRC. I wanted to make sure you got to finish those up before taking it. Then when you were done I was so close to having the finished product done I thought it would just be easier to wait. The alphas had like 6 or 7 different caps for each serving as I was trying so many different mg amounts and combos.
