About this Log:
This is essentially a continuation of the last Log (link provided further down below). The idea here is to try to test how much of the strength rise from the prior Log was from the Designer Supplements ActivaTe Extreme and how much as from the IntrAbolic. I will still be on predominantly a cutting mindset. I feel I should be able to get a pretty good read on which was the more proactive of those two.
This was in the last Log, but I also feel it bears repeating here, though this is the last time I will mention it. While I don't think it matters where I'm concerned, I've heard the voices and seen the discussion written on the streets about "Unsponsored" vs. "Sponsored". I do want to also mention that every single item in that list and in the BodySpace was purchased by me. Nothing in the list of what I'm using was comped to me, period. I bought and paid for every item in this Log and extending it further, in the Log that will follow this one as well, though I will, in the name of transparency, observe that the Prolab Thermo Fire samples were sent to me with no monetary exchange. Again, I discard the idea as mendacious that the value of my Reviews or Logs is somehow modified in regards to whether I received the product free or not and I further consider the speaker/typer of such undignified untruths as both full of **** and mentally depraved. In fact, I defy any of those persons to pick out of the Logs below, excepting the DS NHA Stack Log, which of those is sponsored and which is not.
Last words before the battle is engaged:
Those of you who followed my first Log know what to expect from me. Those who didn't can find it here:

Every Log is different, but I tend to try to post daily. As I am trying to Log as much information as possible, I will continue posting dietary numbers also. As always, I will mark the posts so readers can tell which is an actual Log post and which is grabassery. I will also re-measure everything at the end of the Log.
For the workout days, I will be posting the exercises and the weights used, excluding warm-up sets. I will just mention the exercise I used for warm-ups. I will also attempt to make commentary on the various methods (drop sets, super sets, et. al.) when I am using something beyond straight/static sets. Cardio will be the exercise used and a few other factors, some meaningful to me and more for my use, some for more general information.
Finally and most importantly, as always, thanks to all of you for joining me on this adventure.

A few words about the measurements. Both the weight and bf% readings are off. Since the ending of the last Log saw me getting entirely more ill than I ever wanted, I got a bit desperate and threw the diet out the window entirely. It didn't matter then, since nothing was staying around long enough to really matter, but since my system has seemingly normalized itself now, it does matter again and some of my inglorious food choices are making me hold water. I expect this to normalize within the next few days as I resume my "normal" diet. I was going to wait to take the more appropriate readings, but did not want to delay the Log any further.
I did do a Shoulder workout on Thursday and found out that I'm still not all the way recovered. I was decidedly weak for the last 2/3 of the workout, though, again, it somewhat comes down to poor food choices again. Also, tag into that, the problem that I was planning on jamming with the band that day instead of working out, which means I was mentally preparing for another activity entirely. I still got in a solid workout, but not up to my more recent standards.
This is one of the few Logs I've done where it's both unsponsored and I'm intimately familiar with all of the main components. It is clear that I love the AEN line and think very highly of both them and Sebastian. It should be also equally clear that I feel the same way towards the Designer Supplements line (plenty of those in this Log also) as well as Matt Cahill and company. I truly believe this Log will pick up where the other one left off before I got sick.
In fact, the only things here I'm not familiar with are the Millenium products, the Prolab Thermo Fire and the DS Glucophase XR and Adrenalean. I like the MVP-365, but the ZMK is putting me under to an extent that I'm finding much less than useful. I will probably cut that down to 2 tabs and see if that improves anything. I have not gotten to the Thermo Fire or the Glucophase XR (this one is a maybe right now) or the Adrenalean (that one is a question since I don't know the street date), but I expect great things from them also.
A final word on the name of this stack...obviously it is not of Athletic Edge's devising. They have two other excellent stacks with the main difference being the inclusion or exclusion of Steel Edge, but they don't really have one with cutting in mind. So, the idea here being thermogenesis --> heat --> fire --> EM being prone to dramatics and there you have the source of the Hellfire.

More information: http://www.aenutrition.com
Workout: Chest/Arms
Exercises Used:
BB Flat Press = 3 Warm-up sets
Dips = 4 Work sets (BWX7,4,5,3)
Hammer Super Incline Machine, Increasing Seat Height = 4 Work sets (110X10,8,6,6)
Decline EZ Pullovers = 3 Work sets (90X10)
Crosslocks = 3 Work sets (60X6, 50,45X8)
Close-Grip Cable Curls = 4 Work sets (105X10, 120X8, 135X6, 120X8) supersetted with
Triangle Push-Downs = 4 Work sets (105X10, 120X10, 135X8, 120X10)
Total Workout Time: Approx. 45 min.
Quality Level: Acceptable. This was sort of a "getting re-acquainted" workout, much as the Shoulder workout earlier this week was. I had not very much energy and zero motivation today, which made the entire thing a struggle. Chest was worked pretty well today, however.
Diet: Numbers to come later.
Observations From The Deck: Ever since I have started ZMK, it has increased the depth of my sleep and made waking up far more difficult than usual. Today, I let things go as long as they would. So, while I still had tremendous depth of sleep, it did not seem to increase the length. However, the side effects, among them the issue of it taking several hours and tons of stimulants (seriously, I've been having to really get it on with these) before I feel even remotely awake are far too pronounced to be acceptable. I'm going to try just 2 tabs tonight instead of 4 and see if that helps. If not, I will just keep decreasing the dosage until I find a happy medium or until I get tired of bothering and just discontinue usage entirely.
Auxiliary Intel: Tomorrow's workout and Monday's will probably be more getting back into the routine of the gym, but I expect to be back to normal by Wednesday's workout or next Saturday's at the absolute latest. Part of what I want to do is to try to get to 210 by the end of this year (doubtful) and into single digit bf% (more doubtful) and I have a very serious time shortage in which to accomplish these things. If I fail, I don't want it to be for lack of trying. That cold was incredibly ill-timed in light of these goals, of course and my lungs are still not all the way back with it. I will probably try some light Cardio for the upcoming week and see what happens...

Thanks. I'm really unhappy with how things are...I've felt like I'm on the verge of passing out (put your hands together for the Incredible Collapsing Man) mostly all day, but I've been trying to ignore/fight through it. I think I'm going to have to take a nap soon, however. The two Millenium products are basically the only new things I've added, so it's either the MVP (doubtful since it didn't start until the day after the first night I took the ZMK) or the ZMK. I checked out the formula repeatedly today trying to answer the burning question of WTF, but to no avail...I'm just going to have to tinker with dosage...

Diet:
Calories: ~2155
Total carbs: 116g or ~21.5%
Total fat: 63g or ~26.5%
Total protein: 278.5g or ~51.5%
Score: 100% (5 of 5 goals) Excellent. In some ways, having no appetite makes it much easier to dial in the diet. Since nothing tastes or sounds appealing whatsoever, I can just watch the clock and then go eat X amount of calories in a specific breakdown. The problem then becomes watching the clock, which I forgot to do today, which is one of the reasons I had a lot of protein shakes today.
Observations From The Deck: Thermo Fire has a very enjoyable odor and taste (don't ask) and seems to work decently at 2 tabs. I think I can probably run at 3 tabs and be fine, though, so I will test that theory out tomorrow. Hopefully, dialing down ZMK will prove as successful as I hope.
Auxiliary Intel: Yes, I do actually have 4 open tubs of protein at the moment, though by the end of this weekend, it will probably be less, if my eating trends hold up. I only have one shake left of Syntha-6 and maybe 2 or 3 of the Champion Pure Whey Stack...

How many cap a day (all products) are you taking? Yowza.

At the moment, as in today:
Wake-up = 3 caps IXL + 4 caps of MVP-365 + 1 cap LX2
PWO = 4 tabs of Osteo Plex + 1 cap LX2 + 1 tab Vitamin D
A little later = 3 caps IXL + 3 caps ThermoFire + 1 cap LX2
Before bed = 2 tabs ZMK + 1 caps Vigor + 1 cap Co-Q10 + 1 chewable Vit. C
Yesterday was 2 caps ThermoFire. 2 tabs of ZMK seems to introduce far fewer problems, so I will be sticking with that. On the days I will be working out, I'm also debating putting the Osteo-Plex + Vit. D first thing in the morning until I finish out the bottle of Osteo-Plex and then I will either stop supplementing calcium entirely or modify it to perhaps 2 caps.
During the weekdays, it looked like this:
Wake-up = 3 caps IXL + 2 caps of MVP-365 + 1 cap LX2 + 2 caps Basic Cuts
11:00 = 2 caps MVP-365 + 1 LX2 + 2 Basic Cuts
Get home = 3 caps IXL + 1 cap LX2
Before bed = 4 tabs ZMK + 1 caps Vigor + 1 cap Co-Q10 + 1 chewable Vit. C
I tried 4 of the LX2 during one of those days, but can't see much point (or difference) in that, so I only did it once. This, of course, will change to 2 caps of the ZMK and I will probably sub in Thermo Fire for Basic Cuts until I'm out of it.Ongoing Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=106420991

Workout: Legs
Exercises Used:
Squats = 3 Warm-up sets
Inverted Leg Press = 4 Work sets (450X8,6,8,6)
Glute-Ham Raises = 4 Work sets (BWX8, +25X5, +20,BWX8)
Seated Calf Raise = 4 Work sets (180X10, 225X10X3) {No rest} supersetted with
Standing Calf Raise = 4 Work sets (255X10) {No rest}
Total Workout Time: Approx. 30 min.
Quality Level: Acceptable. I felt incredibly weak today, for some reason. After almost every set, I also felt quite dizzy. I never could quite get the seat on the Inverted Press adjusted to my satisfaction, either. On the plus side, it feels like most of that water I was holding is removing itself...
Diet: Numbers to come later.
Observations From The Deck: Chest was a touch sore today, but nothing too major. Going down to 2 tabs of ZMK seemed to do the trick...sleep was notably deeper, but my head was not in a fog when I woke up. Things got a bit off-kilter as my roommate wanted to go see an early showing of I Am Legend (my thoughts on this in the thread in Supplement Misc) and I figured I might as well go.
Auxiliary Intel: Since I am definitely not doing laundry today, this means I'm going to not be starting Cardio on Tuesday, as projected, but will be starting it, tentatively, on Friday, the 21st. Tuesday instead will have to be used for laundry (I really need to buy more clothes one of these days), but that might be better anyway, considering that today's workout dispelled any lingering thoughts I may have had that I'm all the way back...
As it is now, I'm hoping to be at full strength again by the end of the year...

Total fat: 70.5g or ~28.5%
Total protein: 206g or ~37%
Score: 100% (5 of 5 goals) Very Good. A little light on the protein, but I'm pretty satisfied with the overall balance. I wanted to drive carbs slightly higher today. Everything was within the percentages, so no real complaints anywhere. I downgraded the rating of this because of a few handfuls of movie popcorn that I had. I found it pretty much entirely disgusting, so I didn't have much of it. Also, I had some Cracked Pepper & Olive Oil Triscuits to get some carbs, so a lot more salt today than necessary.
Observations From The Deck: ThermoFire works considerably better dosed at 3 tabs. I think I could probably run it at 4, but no real point in that. Tomorrow will be the last day of ThermoFire as I don't have any left. It reminds me a lot of Scorch, sans the heat flushes on my Forearms.
I also finished off the Syntha-6 today. The Champion Pure Whey Stack will not be far behind and then it will be more with the carb balancing act as the Prolab Pure Whey will be my main protein once more.
Auxiliary Intel: I made the mistake of drinking some Synergy Gingerberry Kombucha tea in conjunction with the ThermoFire. I say mistake because it's making my heart run like a race horse and I don't know how much it will drop off in the next couple hours, which could impair my sleep.

Designer Supplements Vigor http://www.designersupps.com
Prolab Pure Whey
Athletic Edge IntraXCell
Designer Supplements Lean Xtreme
Designer Supplements Basic Cuts OR Prolab Thermo Fire
Millenium Sport MVP-365
Millenium Sport ZMK
Twinlab Mega Co-Q10 http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/tl/co.html
A lot of the stuff is geared specifically around workouts and is dependent not only on what day it is, but what type of workout. While it seems like a lot, it is an examination of my philosophy regarding supplementation of having something do one specific thing instead of one thing trying to do several things at once, basically specialization. It has been a long while, for instance, since I have taken Purple Wraath, given that I have not had a cardio workout in a while. Some of the stuff, such as the Prolab Thermo Fire and the BSN Syntha-6 are very temporary, as in I had them at the time I started the Log and once they're done, I won't be using them again. Some, such as the Glucophase and the Adrenalean, I do not even have yet and so cannot use...
So, the list is a lot, yes, but the daily usage list is much shorter.Ongoing Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=106420991

Quality Level: Very Good. I somehow actually went up on both reps and weight for the Warm-Up sets & the Low Row with the Lat Bar Attachment. I fried my Back on the Seated Rows (which was why I initially had the Hammer High Rows scheduled next, but leave it to a few assclowns who were not paying attention to National Chest Day to ruin the timing for me), so High Rows were down a bit as were T-Bar Rows. I love Back workouts the best out of everything and am nearly always up for them, so I would literally half to be half-dead not to have at least a Good session...
Diet: Not counted.
Score: Ehhhh. I came in high with calories and the macro percentages were all screwed, no two ways about it. I was doing very well until lunch, when the boss bought pizza. Since I'm thinking that part of my weakness has to do with lowered calories, I had some, you're goddamn right I had some. I didn't go overboard (guessing around 2300 for the day since I went into full blown panic/damage control mode), but nature's most perfect food leaves a bit to be desired in terms of healthiness the majority of the time.
Observations From The Deck: Slight soreness in the Legs today.
I came roaring in with Steel Edge tonight and really hit the ground running, basically one step from blast furnace mode in the gym. It's unreal how well that stuff works...this must be my 5th or 6th tub by now. I am starting to think this may be the most flawless pre-workout supplement maybe ever.
The IntrAbolic has its work cut out for it. I'm going real strong for about 1/3 - 1/2 of the workouts and then the bottom falls out. I'm still able to get in real solid workouts, but the strength is just not there yet.
Today was the last day of Thermo Fire. This really needs to be run at 3 tabs at a time, like MAN Scorch does. I personally prefer this somewhat to MAN Scorch, though I must admit to liking Primaforce RAGE better than either. I might run this sometime in 2008, though...
Auxiliary Intel: My fears yesterday came true last night. I slept like ****, barely out for 2 -3 hours at a time and wound up with a burning spike over my right eye around 3:30 am, which screwed me the rest of the time for sleep. This was clearly due to overstimulation, so the way I countered it was by slamming down more stimulants (hello Excedrin!) the first thing I did after I got out of bed this morning. Screw it, it works, why not. I don't feel especially tired now and since tomorrow night is basically me doing laundry, I'm not too worried about things.
It's hard for me to get adjusted to taking the calcium + D first thing in the morning, since I am literally already taking a fistful of pills. I forgot this morning...hopefully I will remember Wednesday morning for the Shoulder workout then...
