If this (insert whatever trivial thing that is upsetting me) is the worst thing to happen today, I'm going to have a great day.

I like turtles!
Hey gang! Damn. Weird to be posting back here. Been awhile.
Well, lot has happened since last. As many of you may know I suffered a pretty debilitating back injury a few years back. I'm still dealing w recovery but much better these days. My ankle and foot is pretty numb still but I can walk pretty much normal now.
Lifting has been going better than ever. Also I've been training a lot if people in bodybuilding. I have found many want a muscular physique over all. I realized a type if glitch or problem again in today's training much like the problem in the 80's when aerobic exercise was the craze. Back then people were doing a ridiculous amount of overtraining. Hours upon hours of aerobic exercise w out the balance of weight training. I feel the same problem is happening today in and out of the gym. I see trainers w groups of clients tearing up most of the open space in the gym and sometimes even extending out into the parking lot. These trainers are spending hours upon hours shouting out commands of intense exercises almost like a drill sergeant would w basic trainees. For months this goes on and i really dont see much muscular imptovement in their clients. All the while I'm teaching my clients to take advantage of their anabolic window and to rely on rest days for cns recovery and eating a proper nutrition plan, my clients have transformed their bodies into bodybuilding contenders.
I think what really gets me is almost all these trainers don't train the way they instruct??! I know most of them and they're in the gym early training like myself and other fellow bodybuilders!!
Well, enough on that. Maybe I'll repost this topic here w a separate title
Back to the politically incorrect "retard" thread set up by my boys Carl and Tom!
I have had the pleasure to compete against Carl and watch Tom compete as bodybuilders. So it's nice to lift w these guys once in awhile and share stories over a few cold ones.
Since last year I have been keeping in shape and getting pretty tight and lean. My goal is to continue to add quality size while stating relatively lean. Lots of you may follow my progress on ******** "Chris Lawrence"
I have also picked up a modeling gig w a rock n roll/country clothing line where I'm told shirts optional! Lol. It's been a lot of fun.
I figure the best way I can record my progress is thru pics. Once I get a pic sharing app on my new phone ill be sharing right along!2009 NGA Masters Pro Bodybuilder and Athlete.

It's good to hear that you're doing so well Chris, especially that you're managing to train despite that continuing numbness in the foot. Are you planning to compete again yourself and what's the deal with the training .. is tha a sideline or have you changed your old job?
Good to see you back and looking forward to those progress pics"Better to wear out than rust out!"

So far just by looking at just a couple training sessions from three different peeps... The volume is drastically different between all of us. I want to continue to see progress made between us. My thinking before making this thread was to show how people can make gains by training differently. Differently as in frequency, volume and types of exercises etc....
Every day counts.
