    Incline/Decline/Flat Bench press

    whats the difference between each one when i work out my chest. it seems like when i do incline i am able to do the lease amout of weight, and decline the most amount of weight.

    Don't worry that is the same for most people, the flat/decline presses put your body in a mechanically stronger position. Inclines use mostly the upper pecs and the position is not as strong.
    This does not make them any less effective though.

    Thanks, I'm also look for what the difference is. for example. can i just do 1 and leave the other 2 out?? or does each one work more specifically on certain area's. the reason why i'm asking is because i want to build up my lower chest more. right above my abs so that there is more of a line there. I am pretty flat chested and just started to work out.

    If you want good base chest mass stick with Flat Bench. Barbell or Dumbell either will do.

    Thanks. i should also mention i only use DB. i have only been working out for 2 months but i have never tried using a barbell before. i feel so much more comfortable and easier to control using dumbells. i can also do more weight and pick it up and drop it if i can't do it.

    I would suggest to begin with..

    Flat dumbell press x 3
    Incline dumbell press x 3

    I'm not a big fan of decline presses personally, but if you want to include them I would suggest alternating them every other workout with flat dumbell press.
