C.H.A. DIET (VOLUME 2 Now Available!)
The Carb Hater's Anonymous Diet:
The Final Answer on Carbless Bulking & Cutting
Sometimes we get caught up in dietary extremes. Remember the Grapefruit Diet? Basically, you ate grapefruit. It has thousands of followers. Then you had the no-fat diet, where people would avoid fat like Barry Bond's avoids drug tests. The latter diet example is probably the most disastrous of any widespread diet we have ever seen. The government got behind this fad and started recommending the carb-orgy diets and the food producers soon followed with fat free YUMMY, sugar-laden food that would spike one's insulin higher than Robert Downey Jr. on Prom Night. On a personal note, Scivation President Marc Lobliner even saw his father lose his life following a version of this extreme and unhealthy government recommended diet to complications from type-two diabetes. This made Marc curious. He began to study insulin and carbohydrate consumption and soon became an advocate of a controlled carbohydrate and low-glycemic diet. Over the years, Marc's body has become a machine and operates best with no carbs at all. He is now the founding member of C.H.A.? Carb Haters Anonymous.
The CHA Diet has become one of the most successful and easy to follow diets we have ever seen. And now with the release of volume 2, we made it better. Recent research and anecdotal findings have allowed us to make the diet even BETTER! Some of the changes include:
-Updated, more convenient meal plans
-Advanced training system designed especially for contest prep
-The addition of blueberries and grapefruit to the diet.

Marc and Derek--
Thanks a lot guys for putting out all these great books. Although, I personally think it helps my body to eat carbs, and I would never go zero carb. However, I will still read this book because I want to learn as much as possible about bodybuilding and you guys make that possible by putting out all these books for free!

How do you reconcile that and what you said in the Lifestyle Cut diet?
Who wants to follow an ?extreme? diet that deprives you of an entire
macronutrient like carbs or fat? A more practical diet would be
one that allows you to eat a balanced diet of proteins, carbs and
fats, while still losing fat, being healthy, and enjoying life.

Yeah, that's what it's all about. Finding something that you enjoy and that works for you. Marc loves this way of dieting (from what I can see), and it is what works for him, so there is no reason for him not to do it. Also, from what I've seen Derek likes / responds better to more of a balanced diet with a good amount of protein, carbs, and good fats. It's all about finding the optimal diet for YOU. As Marc always says, "the body is not a textbook".Team 3DMJ:

I do not have to reconcile anything. These books are different OPTIONS for reaching your goals and all will work to different degrees. This book is meant for those who DO NOT like carbs AT ALL or have food allergies.
Our books are not all our ONLY opinion. There is more than one way to get lean and hard. The Lifestyle Cut Diet is for people who do not want to give up their LIFESTYLE.
Nice try calling me out though.www.scivation.com

Heck yes. Also, I LOVE carbs for performance athletes and obviously some (enhanced) bodybuilders on certain compounds NEED carbs. We provide diet options, not gospel. There is NO COOKIE CUTTER APPROACH!
If you train and do cardio with it and cut calories correctly, YES!

We all have very different needs... What these guys present are options. There are many people out there struggling with what they know of as "The RIGHT way" to diet...... Well, there is more than one way to skin a cat. Its great to see people think out of the box. This gives others the confidence to try new things. You never know. By reading these types of bookes, you may discover some small detail that may make you a better YOU! Remember, Knowledge is a precious thing. Keep an open mind.
Also. Not only did Derek help write the book, but he also has an amazing physique. One which should be gracing the covers of anything Scivation related, or anything else for that matter! If you remember correctly, Layne is on the cover of the Cut Diet.."If you're not experiencing severe mental anxiety and depression after two weeks then you're not training hard enough!"

We give the consumers options. www.scivationbooks.com has a ton of books that the consumers can read and try out to find what works best for them. As we have said before, there is no one-size-fits-all diet and the body is not a textbook

I also don't like evil carbs...
got the best gains and stayed the leanest and noticed the most intense drawn out energy in the gym/EVEN RUNNING while low carbin it. And used the refeeds for something to look forward to/cheat.
But since I run so much I've been rockin the lean mass diet to bulk and bulking for endo's to cut. Both still very good diets...The Iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and hear all kinds of talk, get told that you're a god or a total bastard. The Iron will always kick you the real deal. The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds. ~Henry Rollins

wow great read. bill imformed me about this diet and after taking about an hour to read through the whole book ive decided im gonna give it a shot. my questions are, if there are no carb loads then how do you keep the thyroid happy as whats listed in the cut diet and also. switching over from the cut diet, how do you calculate calories. I want to get huge and ripped at the same time which this diet seems like its very possible. as of right now im on the 2500 cal cut diet plan. so that means on avg. 2 days a week im eating around 3k cals and the rest are at 2500 so im guessing i should start out @ the higher calories plan. Also the 2 veggie days per week should they come on your off days. this seems kind off logical and like it might phriggin work and I am PSYCHED TO GO TRY IT OUT!!!
