What are you guys doing for energy?
I get to the gym now and I just feel wore down.
My diet is fine.
Plenty of fruits and vegetables. Multi everyday, but over the past year, i'll say, i just feel like I can't give 100% like I used to.
I'm 32 now and I know I should have more energy than this. I even took a couple of months off to recharge.
Suggestions?

For my workout energy I use White Flood. It works very well for energy, especially when I am having problems getting going. Also, I have used Redline. It worked very well, but I built a tolerance to it pretty quickly.

Are you still doing the same routine in the gym that you've been doing? Could you change up your workout--either exercises or the order you do them in? Have you been getting enough rest in-between workouts? Is there a way you could change the time of day you go to the gym (early morning vs. afternoon vs evening)? I'm approaching 50, and there's days I'm really dragging when I get to the gym, but other days I just can't wait to get there! (and I'm working 55-hour weeks, too......geez--what's up with that?)

Well, then you probably don't want to consider NO-X or White Flood, because both have a big shot of caffeine in them . Taking products like these is how I stay energized during every single workout for the past 2 years. Pill, powder...it's all mostly expensive caffeine...with some possible other benefits.

For me, if I'm passionate enough about my upcoming workout, I'll find the energy. Yeah some days are tough, but if you love working out, you can get through those difficult days just on sheer emotion/adrenaline. Very rarely do I pop a caffeine tab or have a diet soda/energy drink before my workout.
You have a new goal (to lose those unwanted pounds), so IMO that's a huge start. Just keep focusing on that, Kenny.~I'm an egomaniac with a inferiority complex...

Kenny,
Have you tried Acetyl-l-carnitine? I take 1,000 mg every day and it gives me energy without any jitters (just the form l-carnitine benefits the heart). Are you just taking a multi or are you taking other sups as well? Re-evaluate you diet, you might need to add or eliminate. Try one thing at a time and see what works for you.We will become that which we contemplate. We cannot think negative thoughts and reap positive results. If we really want health we must be willing to work for it.

Hey, this guy is a "misc." rat, check his bodyspace. His posts aren't ever even bodybuilding related and gives neg. rep points to new people who ask for legitimate help. Maybe you aren't motivated because you haven't tried to involve yourself in the brotherhood of bodybuilding.

Actually - Kenny's a cool guy. Does post a lot in the misc but is one of the better behaved folks there, and has my respect.
Lack of energy can also be due to poor sleep, stress, or depression... and if you've just dropped your calories for a cut, you may have dropped them too fast... try taking them back up a few hundred and then dropping them by 100 cals/week.

Also I just ran into an ex who I think scammed me out of $150 so now i'm REALLY motivated.
knowing numerous stories of friends and family who have gotten hit for thousands and thousands of dollars in this situation...it gives a strong clue as to how little can get you off kilter.....
and if you think the early 30s presents a difficulty, wait until you get to my age......
the answer to these things is always complex and never simple: it is multi-factorial: diet, training systems, stress, etc and so on........
it should be so simple as to "take this or that"

Sounds like you may have Adrenal Fatigue. Taking stims will only make this problem worse.(Caffiene works but it is a urinary tract irritant.)
Get your Diet in order. Eat really clean for a month & see how you feel.
How are your sleep habits? Get them straightened out also. You should try to get 7-9 hours of UNINTERUPTED" sleep each night. Try to wake up at the same time everyday. Get all electronics(Except alarm clock) out of your bedroom. Keep it as dark as possible.
Up your water intake to at least 1 - 1.5 gallons a day. If you are dehydrated you will produce more Cortisol.
Good Luck!!

I never said you didn't have a reason for your statement, nor did I suggest you made anything up. I know Kenny. I'm familiar with his posts. I've personally never had a problem with his posts and he's one of the few misc'ers who's always been respectful to me. (Yeah, he's a smart ass, but it's the MISC)
You obviously have had a different experience.
At any rate - Kenny's had some good feedback here, that hopefully is also useful to others who are struggling to keep their energy up as well.

Weight lifting is a protein sport. Are you getting a minimum of 200grams a day?
There is one fellow in here that weighs 300lbs. and he is not only lifting crazy ass pounds and he is "dieting" for a contest. Basicaly he gets 300++ grams protein and carbs consist only of one grapefruit and one sweet potato a day. He eats a giant all greens salad with Flaxseed oil (for good Omegas) and vinegar dressing at night. No energy problems. When you get your next blood panel done at the docs ask for a protein check.
