Doritos are the best chips period. I like their hot ones the best, but I would pick ranch in this one

Nacho Cheese is the best IMO, but the Sweet Chili Doritos were great too. Chips are a huge weakness for me so I don't buy them anymore. Just reading this thread is giving me withdrawals.

The best Dorito flavor *ever* made was discontinued sometime in the 1980's and has never, to my knowledge been brought back, and that is actual Sour Cream & Onion Doritos that came in a bright green bag. It seemed like they came out with Cool Ranch to replace that flavor, but it is not the same. Supposedly you can still buy this flavor in Japan though for some strange reason.Originally Posted by NMS3

I have just learned that the original Dorito is not the Nacho Cheese flavored Dorito.
The Original was just plain in 1967, and I have never had one in my life. The second flavor was Taco, and Nacho Cheese did not come out until 1972.

I stand corrected, apparently they did briefly bring these back around 11 years ago as a limited edition:
