Not sure if it falls under resolutions, but want to travel more locally, see more small and mid-sized towns and learn about the history of these places. See the northern parts of the country (or Norway) - never had so far - and if lucky the northen lights as well. And also learn more about local fauna and wildlife, including some birds etc.

Keep reshaping the body based on the mirror and have less family drama, which knocks me off of my goals and resolutions.

There is going to be 2 billion dollars of industrial construction work in a 15 minute radius of my town starting in January (900M renewable fuel, 700M soybean, 400M refinery and fertilizer). I'm trying to get 1/10 of 1 percent of that amount with my rentals. I've done 1/10 of 1 percent of a projects total cost on many occasions.

I landed in the Hospital for a couple days last week. I had a nasty bout of atrial fibrillation that would not subside; heart rate consistently in the 150's and 160's for four days.
We got it under control with some meds and I have a follow-up on January 2, 2024. Self diagnosis is that the Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation is being caused by apnea and the apnea is from the excessive alcohol I had gotten into the routine of drinking. I decided to give up drinking alcohol altogether on December 17th, so we will consider this my resolution. As others have said, I don't do resolutions, but in this case it's so close to the end of the year, it could be considered one.
Here's to a much healthier 2024! I had a $hitty 2023 in the health department.Last edited by bustasinclair; 12-27-2023 at 09:37 AM.

Oh my goodness I am so sorry to hear this! I hope that you are much healthier in 2024.
Same with me! I was in the ER 5 times this fall with a bad case of pneumonia and Covid that was floating around the office. So I am taking more vitamins and improving my diet.
My other resolution is to lose 30 more lbs. I've lost 20 lbs since June 1 but didn't get much exercise in for 3 months!!Make It a Great Day! Just call me Dusty. It's a Clown 🤡 World out there.

Last year I quit drinking on January 12 for 4 months. Just went nuts in the gym, 2 or 3 times a day. Difference in my physique was crazy. My favorite physique here JLSyderTypeR [sp] does this every year and it works for him so I gave it a try.
Do you have sinus issues/allergies/anxiety? A mouthgaurd at night fixed a lot of sleep issues I had where I was not sleeping well at all. Annoying at first but a cheap fix once you commit.
Done.
Also I randomly found a blog post where I wrote up Induced Drag's program, so I'm starting the new year with that right through my PT. I can't even front raise a 1lb DB rn but I'm ready to not be weak after shoulder surgery anymore.
ID's program has always been hard to describe but rock solid.Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.

I've started the good habits this week. I don't know why people wait until Jan. 1. The gingerbread cookies are no longer out, I guess unless you go to Starbucks. Perhaps it's so they can drink and eat on NYE?
It's hard to change old habits but I ate very healthy 10 years ago so I just think about do I want the salad with protein or the sandwich and choose the salad. Then for dessert greek yogurt and if I have a sugar craving--fruit.Make It a Great Day! Just call me Dusty. It's a Clown 🤡 World out there.

Mostly travel related
I really did want to visit Israel once but I don’t think it’s the best safest idea anymore
Nothing fitness related. I gave up weights snd running long ago. I eat what I want even though I tend to want to focus on beef, fish, poultry, eggs, some veggies, some greens, and pork.BLM (Brock Lesnar Matters)

That’s a shame, why?
My holiday idea of constant eating and training didn’t go as expected. I ended up needing to take off training the entire Xmas weekend and most of this week. I was at a borderline injury level in my back. Decided it’s best to “pull out” for the week fellas.
So now I have a frig full of leftover food and deserts which I plan to conquer this weekend and just do light weights all throughout this weekend.Autenic Kights Sing Heavy Stel and Hav Hands and Wriss of Steel!

I don't think I have any of those issues, but after the first of the year, I intend to have a sleep study done and find out more. I wanted to wait to do the sleep study until the alcohol was completely out of my system so that I can eliminate that as a variable. I honestly was drinking too much, but it wasn't an addiction, I just developed a bad habit/routine. Today is day 12 and I have not had any issues or many cravings to speak of. We went to a Bowl game (Texas A&M versus Oklahoma State) the other night and a beer really sounded good, but I passed....saved my a$$ $13 in the process, lol. Concessions prices at sporting events has gone completely off the rails.

Yes, I'm pretty sure it's the alcohol. I had plenty of time on my hands to do the research as I laid in the hospital bed for two days.
I read a 60+ page study on the links between Atrial Fibrillation and alcohol; it was a rude awakening. Thank you, happy new year to you as well, Tom.
Thanks man. It is what it is ya know. Happy new year to you and the family as well!

Thank you, that's my wife, Christina.
We had dinner at the game, a couple of barbeque sandwiches and two sodas for $51
Yeah, I'm sure I will learn quite a bit from the study. I likely have apena notwithstanding the alcohol, but I'm sure to a lesser degree.

So now you want to engage with me? You been dodging all my questions in other threads with childish MEMEs. I even tried to man up about my previous little man outburst, which you are 100 percent guilty of (you called someone a pussy on here, new poster, on the cold weather thread, plus way more BS) but you still just posted a MEME.
Speaks volumes about you.
I’m really not much of a good luck wisher dude, I mean Busta took the measures needed, I replied because it’s something I’ve seen before and it very well may happen to me.
PS, piss off loser, you wanna meet at the Arnold this year so I show everyone how much a chump you are............Rich Piana style.Autenic Kights Sing Heavy Stel and Hav Hands and Wriss of Steel!
