Yeah I think their big update is supposed to introduce a bunch of changes to the base game in preparation for the DLC. Said update will be out on the 21th. I'm willing to try it out at least.

The game is getting a massive rework

It's going to be amazing I have no doubts, I already thought it was great.

One of the few things I'm genuinely looking forward to playing. Can't wait to cook my gpu in night city again

I played the next gen update when it came to consoles last year. Thought it was okay but still pretty mid and I didn't feel immersed. I don't know how many fixes have come since then and if it's better now but I'm willing to give it a second try with the rework. I really wanted to love this game before it came out. Imo they could have spent less budget on Keanu and worked on making NC feel more like a living breathing world.

Can't fking wait. Starfield was a massive letdown for me.

I liked cyberpunk a lot despite it loads and loads of flaws, but this DLC is going to have to do a lot to really impress me. A few bug fixes, new cop system and 4 hour story won't cut it.

I picked up the 49" super ultrawide g9 QD-Oled 240hz. Already played around a bit on the base game since it has native support for 32:9. looks absolutely amazing.

cant wait to try it out with dlss 3.5

- plus a random baseball cap
- use it to just disguise your leather jacket as a longer leather jacket
- enter train
- ditch disguise

I really wasn't that impressed when I played it last year because I felt like there was alot of focus on cutscenes and cinematics and less on story, gameplay, making the world interesting, character arcs, cool events happening, and NPCs.

Maybe if they manage to tighten up all those things and have Night City feel more engaging, I can enjoy it more this time. I haven't played it for so long, forgot alot of things and missed many patches along the way so maybe this could be a transformed experience. I'll def download it with the patch next week.

path tracing in this game is crazy, especially in situations with diffuse lightning or shadows

even crazier it can be ran at playable framerates

Yeah the NPC sucks. Rockstar and surprisingly Ubisoft are the best.

The biggest disappointment is Starfield though. Pathetic.

Read in an interview that Idris Elba also did some songs for the updated radio stations in cuberpunk

For the unawares he's also a dj, because being a famous handsome black actor wasn't getting him enough pussy I guess

Cyberpunk is female! LOLing a bit going from male to female V for all the branding. And I have zero doubt the female hacker isn't going to take any responsibility for Idris' character death. Female president? No wonder why the USSA is such a ****ed up ****hole.

I'm interested in playing around with the 2.0 version of the game to see how things have changed. But think I'm going to hold off until some reviews come up for the DLC. Given how the demographics of CDPR have changed I'm not sure this is going to be a Blood and Wine type experience.

Gamespot has gotten early access review and this is their early impressions for update 2.0.

Their full review on update 2.0. + Phantom Liberty will be on the 20th when the review embargo lifts

Personally I think it's a good sign that CDPR gave media early access review codes so they can review the game before the release of the expansion

Also more first impressions on update 2.0. (no Phantom Liberty yet) from other youtubers

The earliest gameplay demo of Cyberpunk 2077 featured female V though. And based on most player feedback, female V's voice acting was more popular so I'm not surprised that they're using female V more for the marketing of the expansion. Never thought that male V's voice acting was bad though.
