About 6 months ago a STAFF MEMBER got pinned while benching. A gym member rushed to spot him, but the guy dumped all the weight off one side while the guy was spotting. Ended up tearing the gym member's bicep.

Definitely not the best way to go. I usually get a spot but the gym was empty except one dude that I have asked to spot before and is garbage at it. I could lift in a power rack with safety pins, its just a pain to set it up and it's in a non-air conditioned room.
