Is casein whey more filling when normal whey?

Do people find casein whey to be more filling than normal whey when both mixed with milk? Just looking for anything to help with my current cut. Is there much difference in texture etc or taste?

Casein tends to mix thicker an it takes longer to digest; most do find it more filling, yes.

It is more filling in my experience and the feeling of being satiated also lasts longer in time.

Is it worth the price difference? tough question. At MyProtein the whey is a lot cheaper than the casein.

Solid food would be more filling than either with milk.

Solid foods tend to be more satiating than drinks, that's true. But some studies have shown soups can be more satiating than solid foods.

When I eat casein with water as a soup, it tends to keep me full for many hours, generally longer than calorie equated solid foods.

I actually find regular whey with whole milk more filling than some meals, I don't use much whey when bulking but when cutting i can't get by without it.

Based on the replies so far i am going to give the casein a try, Not too worried about price as i will only be using it for a mini cut.

Casein with milk, that's not far from Greek style yogurt. Might want to calculate what's cheaper. 0% Greek yogurt is very satiating too. You could add whey to that if you need more protein.

Yes Casein is more filling. It's overall much thicker.

I add some whey to Greek yogurt myself and freeze for a simple snack. Very filling.

    Just an update to this

I have now being using casein for a nearly a week now i tried it with water and didn't like it but with milk it tastes rather nice, Comparing it to 150g chicken and some veggies ( currently cutting), The satiety between eating the meal drinking the shake is similar however the casein is 100% leaving me feeling fuller for longer and has reduced cravings between meals significantly, i've been amazed.

What is the reason for this? i know its supposed to be slow digesting, but is casein slower digesting than chicken? This is like a godsend for me cutting.

Yes casein is amazing for cutting. Not everyone knows this.

I think it's due to casein forming a lump in the stomach and then slowly giving of AAs.
