Catbrah Review- Rich Piana 5% Meal Plan (pics)

I've never really done meal prep or made any effort to "eat clean". Most of my meals are chipotle or fast food burgers. Finally decided to try Piana's meal plan to fit some better quality meals into my schedule.

With shipping, it's $175 for 21 meals. Approximately 600 cals and 50-60g protein per meal.

Box came overnight Fedex from Florida. Everything was well packed and still frozen.

I ordered five varieties of meals. Turkey Bolognese, Orange Chicken, Chicken Alfredo, Beef Teriyaki and Meatballs with mashed Sweet Potatoes.

The Turkey Bolognese is pretty amazing. It's something I'm already craving for next weeks order. Quality of the meat was great, noodles are great. Flavor is just on point.

Orange chicken was my next favorite. Just enough of the orange sauce to really make it tasty.

Next would be Chicken Alfredo. Their noodles are great, and sauce is good (although used sparingly)

Beef teriyaki was okay. Quality of the steak is good, but there was absolutely no teriyaki sauce I could see.

Meatballs and sweet potato mash was bad. The meatballs had an iffy flavoring. Potatoes were okay. Would not order this one again.

Overall, quite happy and am ordering another week- and will probably continue on in the future. I feel much, much better eating clean food for lunch every day. The portions are just right to be satisfying for a meal, even for someone my size.

It would be soooo easy to cut using this food. I feel full eating a good tasting 600 cal meal with good macros.

I would say they are very healthy. It's pretty much lean chicken, steak or turkey with either pasta or rice. Macros are like 50-60g protein and 40-50g carbs per meal. Very little fat.

Cutting would be a piece of cake with these. Bulking would only be hard because you'd need to eat a minimum of 5-6 per day (assuming no other meals).

You would have a hard time cutting with these meals.


Salt intake would have you retaining so much water you'd gain weight.

I've done Lean Cuisine meals. Stuff is terrible. The quality of these are much better, and they were literally cooked less than a week ago.

Actually looks good. Will consider buying in the future because i'm too lazy to cook healthy meals like this. Saving time>cost of meals. Spend about $100 per week on groceries anyway. An extra $75 for all the time I'd save with this meal plan is well worth it.

Yeah seems like it would make cutting easy mode. IF and eat 2 meals a day with protein shakes/small snacks. No time spent cooking/buying groceries for ~$17 a day.

I'm doing 2 of them during the work day (I've always ate two lunches) and sometimes one in the evening. Am still doing a morning protein shake and whatever I want for dinner.

They come every week, unless you pause the membership. I paused it after the first week to give myself a chance to try it all. I've now resumed it and plan on getting a box a week going forward.

They look better than I was expecting, apart from those poverty meatballs. Did you shop around though? I can't believe his are the cheapest (or the best)

That sounds pricey. But it's actually cheap for a meal prep company.

For the people mentioning sodium, it's not bad. 299mg in the chicken Alfredo. Less in some of the others.

Why not take 3 hours every Sunday to prep 15-30 meals or so and freeze ones you wont be using in the next 3 days? You would save thousands of dollars.
