I've been watching "Bullworker" videos. I Really think i should get one. I used to have one way back in the day. Last time i used one was back in the mid-1990's. The one i had went up to 165 lbs resistance. They weigh less than 5 lbs and they're around the length of a small baseball bat so basically, you can carry the thing around in a back-pack. Isometric resistance, but a bit more of a desirable format of it than mere muscle against muscle methods heavily endorsed and also written about by the late great Charles Atlas, legendary innovator of muscle vs muscle isometric strength and physique exercise. Arnold The bodybuilder/actor incorporated isometric resistance quite a bit back in the day,as did "The Hulkster"(Hulk Hogan-Aka-Terry Bolia) . I've demonstrated isometric muscle flexing quite a bit on my Yt vids(Channels-bobbyd7085 & RobsterRulzdude0518) . Also, almost forgot, "Bruce Lee" owned a bullworker and there are photos of him in his office with a Bullworker leaning against a wall right by his desk.

Men dont need those weird inner thigh muscles. They're strictly for the Chix.
How about those "Portable spring loaded seated rowers" ? The ones you put you're feet in while sitting on the floor or a chair and you row away ? I had one of them. Worked pretty good when i was 15-16 years old.
Another neat nifty portable upper body apparatus is the "Power-Coil".
I still have one of them. Actually i have an old yt vid clip of me using one.
I grip it below the actual handles. Makes the resistance Substaintially more challenging.
They showed MR T using one back in the mid 80's when he was in an interview alongside Hulk Hogan.
They were training togther during that time preparing for the first Wrestlemania back in 1985. The "Goonies" movie was being highly promoted during that same period of time as well. I should've auditioned to be in that flick. I would've fit right in with those kids back then. When i turned 15 i looked 11 or 12. Getting on the topic of Nostalgia makes my mind turn Very Overzelously Nutty ! Overdrive Nutty !*Addicted to swimming during the summer crew.*

Took out my back and knee(l4-l5 rupture, meniscus tear) in a bicycle accident in the late 90's, couldn't move much for a little less than a year, took 5 years to really come back to normal. I had to figure something out, and I remembered isometrics from the seventies, so I made up a program of muscle against muscle isometric training, wall squats, static holds at the middle of push-ups, chins, dips, anything I could could figure out that stressed a muscle without moving.
I managed to keep strength levels up, muscle mass and body-fat at the same levels as before. When I returned to concentric movements it was as if I'd never stopped. I still use isometrics once a week (full body) to give my joints a break, and maintain my ability to perform a max stationary contraction/endure the intense pain of what is in effect causing myself a muscle cramp for time.
Most trainees insist that isometrics are useless, because very few people can exert themselves to the level necessary to see results (same people who will do planks for abs and deads for back-but will still say isometrics are crap/don't work).

Haha I've still got one at home somewhere. My Dad bought it for me when I was about 9 years old. I could hardly use it at all, apart from a type of row (stand on one end/two hands on the other end)
My cousin was a few years older and could do a few reps (chest work) He was being a real smart arse and showing me up at a family BBQ one night when he lost his grip on one handle...it sprung around and busted his nose real bad. His old man threw it in the bin that night.Brick by brick

Yep - had one in the 70's. Didn't know any better. Didn't know they were still around.

Forget the gym and all the programs. All you need is the Bullworker Pro.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxezeN-hTQQAnybody can workout for an hour but controlling what you eat the next 23 hours is the real task.

I was given one when the Veteran next door died. He told his wife to give it to the kid next door who rows his boat. She said that from rowing the boat I had back muscles, and her hubby wanted me to have this for my front muscles. I used it until I left for the Air Force.
Too many people quit using it as they could not write down how much they lifted etc. Now we go to the gym and use a pulldown machine, and IF we slowly do the negative, we are doling the same thing as the spring loaded device.Do what's right.

oh man, you guys are going WAY back now, to my salad days.....
most of those contraptions are totally WORTHLESS......including the Power Coil.....
BTW: Charles Atlas lifted WEIGHTS...he did NOT build his physique with isometrics...it was a total scam......Lift as MUCH as you can, for as MANY reps as you can,
while in complete control of the exercise.
