Winter has hit everywhere!
Walking to the gym to train legs yesterday and it's -25.
We're hardcore over here!
1 month into "retirement" from my career with the Alberta govt..
During this time the govt. has gone after our pensions (which I cashed out on huehuehue) and frozen our wages for 2 years with no cost of living allowance.
Working for the govt. is not what it used to be.
Glad I quit!
Thinking of joining the Reserves.-srs
As an officer.-srs
Which leads me to my next topic...
Our vets are killing themselves!
4 suicides amongst Canadian soldiers who fought in Afghanistan in one week.
My prayers for them and all operators in that theatre.
07 (that is a keyboard salute) to all my brothers and sisters in this winter wonderland.

Expect the best.
Those were ground sloggers that committed suicide probably from seeing the horrors on the ground.
Pretty sad when they can't cover the COLA and the feds are the ones responsible for the COL increase in the 1st place.
Hope it turns out better.
On a side note;
I made a thread somewhere else
and
it wasn't deleted.

I'm open to any suggestions and have a difficult time accepting limitations without an honest effort on my part, you can count on that!

Canada rules the ice, at least in terms of hockey and curling. BOTH men's and women's teams beat up the opposition. Destroyed would be the wrong word to use as some of those matches were close, but the game against the Swedes (men's hockey) was pretty brutal. The Cdn. team roughed them up right from the start, played stellar defense, and took it to them when necessary.

Once Canada found out they would have to take Beiber back if they lost, they gave it their all.

Besides complete domination in the men's hockey yesterday, the best part of the day for me was waking up at 6:30 in the morning on a Sunday, heading out to Tims for a coffee and seeing the drive though line going into the parking lot. So I went inside figuring it would be quicker and still waited 5 minutes to get a coffee. I love Canada lol

Was happy to see the four golds from hockey and curling. Fort St John also has a source of pride in Denny Morrison who won a silver and a bronze in short track speed skating. I believe it was 1500 and 3000 meter
It's not your beliefs that make you a better person, it's your behavior.
