I'm not talking here about cardio. Whenever I have an intense workout, I break a sweat. Because of this I've come to associate a good workout with breaking a sweat. I also noticed that the 'social guys' never break a sweat which reinforces my opinion that sweat is a requirement for an intense workout. Do you agree?

I sweat like crazy most of the time, but there are occasions where I sweat very little (not sure why) during a good session. I guess imo, it (sweating or not) does not automatically mean a good or bad workout was had. I train at home, so I am not sure what the social guys are doing, they are not allowed in my gym.

I'm not one who normally sweats a lot, but with the amount of water intake these days that has changed. I was sweating pretty good on the bench press today.

Gym is really cold early in the morning, so I'm generally dry and seldom sweat anymore doing LISS cardio. Afternoon workouts are a different story. Then I, too, sweat like crazy most of the time.

I'm a big ol' girl when it comes to sweating. I hate to sweat. I don't know why, it's just a thing. I don't sweat during my workouts unless I'm doing cardio (which is rare). I push myself and do intense workouts, try to use the heaviest weights I can safely handle without a spotter, and take little rest between sets to keep an elevated heart rate. But I only workout at that intensity for about 30 minutes. When I feel the sweat about to break I know my 30 minutes are up. Sometimes the A/C isn't working well in the fitness center and it may be 75-76 degrees in there. Those days I just do stretching, yoga, and some ab work, because I know if I do my regular workout I will sweat a lot. And I hate that.

I hardly ever sweat, maybe a little on leg day. Also, my results tell me it's not a requirement...

Always. Not sure why but I sweat easily with minimal exertion so I'm pretty much soaked by the time I'm done. You don't even want to see me after a run....can pretty ring out my clothes

Gym is mostly cold in the morning, so I sweat very little while lifting, just some moisture on the back of my shirt, not even enough to soak through the shirt to make the bench shiny on chest days.
Last winter when it was actually cold enough to run the heat was a different story, I was drenched. Now cutting: Got a little more squishy than I wanted, heading down to 160lbs and seeing how things look.

I sweat doing strongman events outside in shorts and t-shirt when it's 20F and 2 feet of snow on the ground. YES I sweat in the gym.
