I went from 205 lbs, 25% body fat in June 2010 to 177 lbs, 8% bodyfat in December 2010 using P90X and the right nutrition & supplements.
In June 2010, I started following a strict diet based on “Mastering Your Metabolism” with Jillian Michaels and supplements from Dr. Mercola. I made some great progress but I was back into the same weight-lifting routine I’d done ‘off-and-on’ for the past 12 years. I still couldn’t run a ½ mile without feeling like I would pass out.
In October 2010, I started P90X and later Shakeology and by December, I dropped 37lbs of fat and gained 9 lbs of muscle. I went from 25% body fat to 8% body fat and ended up at 177lbs!
I'm thinking of starting a bulking phase next... any ideas, tips or feedback is welcome.

I agree that the numbers may be a bit off, but not as much as you have estimated. I think his before is probably 20-23% or so
Again I agree no matter what the arbitrary numbers are, you look great! Just splitting hairs here with the numbers, the picture is what matters, not some stupid number. And I think we all can agree the pictures look great!Last edited by Brklyns_Finest; 01-12-2011 at 09:05 PM.

You could be anywhere from 11-14% imo. You are right in the range where you won't see differences from one percent to another. If you were under 10%, you would have sharper shoulder and back lines. Not to say your transformation isn't impressive, which it is (and will rep on recharge because it's great progress), however I think it's necessary to know that you are in the higher range because if you start a bulk you are going to lose your abs fast.
My vote is recomp. You are at a solid size and would see surprising changes with a few pounds of fat loss / muscle gain.

***Not completely sure here but from what I understand, a recomp is basically losing fat and gaining muscle simultaneously. It is supposed to be very difficult and take a long time. I think the reasoning for it is to minimize the fat gain/muscle loss that a bulk/cut would lead to separately, hence the difficulty and lengthiness

I'm just gonna go ahead and guess you didn't put on 7 pounds of muscle- thats difficult for anyone on a bulk. Lean body mass and water weight gained? Probably. Also, being that your bf calculations are a little off, it's safe to say you gained quite a bit less than 7 pounds of LBM and didn't lose as much fat as you thought
Impressive nonetheless, props

Man.. I think about all the wasted time, week after week where I had my wife checking my bodyfat from my suprailiac, abdominal, tricep and thighs and using calculators based on my age, height and weight to determine my body fat. I could have just came to you guys and had you do an eyeball estimation based on some compressed-jpeg photos! I could've saved SO much time.
hahah - anyway, thanks for the props.

I don't think anyone was taking digs at you for the bodyfat estimations/results summary, they were just just pointing out that they pretty rough. This includes multi-point skinfold estimations (been doing mine and have been having them done for some time, and they tend to put me a little/lot lower than I could possibly be).
But the results shown in your pictures really speak for themself, and are downright awesome.Way more Xtreme Fitbitter than MissLadyJ or kureransu
