omg, I just got back from USAPL Collegaite Nationales and I am so embarssed plz help me wat shoudl I do. I went to Florida and wanted to do really good and impresse the misc but i am now the laughingstock of the USAPL plz help me. weighed in at 256 the night before (I compete at 242) and had to lose 15 lbs overnight by sitting in the bathrrom and sweating.
then I was getting ready to warm up and threw up 3 times for some reason, projectile vomited. the I was warming up and was ready to do my last warmup (maybe 5 mins before my 1st attempt on squat) and I felt diahrea ready to spew out of my anas. I realized I had no time and would have to try to hold it in. I got ready and went out there and walked out the bar and the judge told me to squat.
I was feeling good and the weight felt light but suddenly I loosed my bowels. I pretened not to notice or care but the judges ajnd everyone started laughing at me even my parents and I began to break donw into tears. but then suddenly I was filled with a sense of peace and I realized jesus was showering me with his nectars, I remembered that jesus had released his bowels when he was carrying the cross and I was folllowing in his footsteps.
I left the Nationals a new man.
585 Squat - Easy
622 Squat - Easy but red lighted for depth. Bullsh*t, I got depth.
622 Squat again, clearly not deep enough this time. W/E
Bench 365 - Eased
Bench 385 - Eased
Bench 392 - Eased
Deadlift 585 - Good
Deadlift 606 - Also Good
In all seriousness, I did lose 15 lbs overnight. Weighed in at 256.6 the night before, freaked out, woke up at 6:30 the next morning to check weight and weighed 246.6, so I only had like 4 lbs to go. It was harder to lose those 4 lbs than I thought. I wore trash bags and put the shower on super hot and sat in the bathroom for about 3 hours on and off. Finally weighed in at around 241.2 at the end.
Then I was trying to relax before having to warm up and I went back up to my room to get my camera so my dad could film me and I took a sip of water and some creatine capsules, and felt my stomach start contracting. I projectile vomited 3 times and then felt pretty good. But I had lost a ton of liquid. I drank some gatorade then.
Then I was warming up, everything was going well, had one last warmup to do (545 for a single) and felt that I was gonna have diahrea, I had about 5 minutes before my first attempt on Squat. I knew I had to go, I ran to the bathroom, shat (it really was liquid and neon green) and ran back and threw my suit on, did an impromptu last warmup, threw on some knee wraps, ran out, and somehow crushed 585.
622 also went up nicely but the judges are fickle even though it was the same depth at my 585 they didn't give it to me. Oh well.
Bench was uneventful, got all three.
Deadlift was also uneventful, at this point I was feeling pretty tired and could only muster 606.
Even still, I added 110 lbs to my total since last year, and at a lighter weight class. I placed 9th out of 18 in my weight class (so basically right in the middle). Conditions are never optimal at these things it seems, I am always thrown like 18 curveballs and no matter how hard I prepare for 9 weeks beforehand, sh*t can always happen.
But I kept my composure and got some awesome experience, oh and here's a little treat, a 20-year old on our team deadlifting 693 and sealing his 3rd place finish in the 275 class:

Nice lifts, but that's what happens when you drop the day before lol, prob would of been a lot stronger if you did it over time span of few weeks or so
