    Sodium Count

    Hi all,

How much sodium is appropriate for someone on a cut eating around 1500cals a day with a 40/30/20 breakdown ... after adding up everything ive ate in the last 2 weeks - 2 weeks ago my avg sodium intake per day was 2557mg and last week my avg intake for the week was 2004mg. Are these numbers too high? Do I have to bring down my sodium intake in order to start seeing the results I want? With these levels of sodium am I retaining water?

Good advice is appreciated as well as rep ; ) I will most definitely rep back.

    Thanks!

those #s aren't extravagent enough to produce excessive water weight gains. You're sodium intake is right where it should be. Keep your water intake sufficient

Hey, I have another thread on this board with my stats and diet if you would like to check that out I guess you could just search my name and it should come up. Then come back to this thread and post what you think but like I said I am on a 1500cal 40/30/20 cut and am making sure my counting is absoluely correct.

40+30+20 = ?? Not that this is important to your question, but just pointing it out

I'm cutting on 1,800 calories but don't give a crap about my sodium intake. The DV police advises 2,400 mg, the new proposal is under 1,500 mg per day. I can eat between 2,000-4,000 and it doesn't really make a lick of difference. Daily fluctuations in my weight? Sure! Does it matter? Nope. With the amount of cardio I do I sweat it all out eventually anwyay.
