    Am I strong enough to benefit from DeFranco's Built Like a Badass?

    The program is centered around three basic compound exercise movements, working off of your 1RM kind of like Wendler's 5/3/1 program.

    I'm 137 lbs., 5'9".

    Maxes aren't anything impressive, so I don't know if i would benefit from this program at all.

    Bench 1 RM: 150
    Squat 1 RM: 195
    Pullups, max reps: 12

    Would I benefit from this program? I'm taking a break from SS, hoping to go another round on it next winter, but for now, I could do with a break from squatting 3x a week and I think I stalled anyways. So my goal is to try to gain lean mass, i'm on a clean 3900 cal diet.

    By next Winter you should be too advanced for Starting Strength if you're doing things right. Madcow's 5x5 would probably a suitable progression to try then.

    Honestly I'd stick with SS for a little longer, you're still 137lbs. How much weight have you gained? How much have your lifts increased? How long did you do it?

    Good progression from SS is one of these

    Started at 115 lbs, moved up to 150 lbs(put on a lot of fat), dropped to 135 over winter break because of some travelling along with sickness. lifts dropped along with my body weight, and I just recently got them back up almost to where they were before I got sick.

    So improvement wise for lifts:

    Bench 3x5: 45->135lbs
    Squat 3x5: 45->175lbs
    Deads 1x5: 95 -> 195lbs
    Military Press 3x5: 45 -> 95lbs

    Not great, i know. especially for four months on the program..slow progress..

    I'm getting a bit tired of SS though, and I really think i'm stalling or hitting some kind of wall. I get under the bar for squats and I never feel pumped anymore. My bench is somehow regressing. lol. A lot of people suggest that I just keep going with SS, but I think I just need a break from squatting heavy(relatively) 3x a week.

    Try one of the links then.

    You seem to have put on a lot of mass and strength. You've still got lots of room for improvement though.

    If you continue to eat, you can still make a lot of gains on SS. You're lifts are much lower than most people who finish the program correctly.
