Ok.. we all know (or we should) that to lose weight you need caloric deficit. Now that said, sometimes it is easier said than done.
I want to hear from people, their methods of controlling hunger. Mine are:
1. Eat regularly
2. Drink lots of water
3. Pick calorie dense food such as potato, broccolli
4. Chew gum

I dont get it so much anymore but I used to eat a lot of sugar free jelly or as the americans say jell-o maybe its psycological but its the activity of eating anything that takes your mind off it not so much adding extra calories.I find a couple of bowls of oats a day keeps most of the hunger in check, otherwise just grin and bear it we chose to diet its not like we have to,there has to be at least one down side to losing weight otherwise nobody would be fat if it was too easy.
The one thing that didnt work for me is drinking lots of water for some reason it has the opposite effect on me and increases hunger, same with gum just fills me with air and makes me feel nauseousYou don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

for me, i keep very little food in the house, where i spend most of my time, and of the food i have available, it takes a fair amount of time to prepare, no such thing as snacking in my houseEat Clean Snatch & Jerk

Willpower as everyone else is saying
and for me, at every meal I always have a huge spinach salad, spinach is like 10 calories for a huge bowl. haha. It's a filler as well. And as for a dressing i usually put my meal on top of it, for example if I am eating cottage cheese with my meal that will be my dressingR.I.P Andy Irons

"Everyone thinks they're on their way to single digit body fat as soon as they see a blurry four-pack in the right lighting.Your final body weight at 5-6% will be a lot less than what you think.Talk to me again when you get in contest shape." I'd be willing to say that 95% of people on this forum accomplish nothing in years, don't be one of those people. It's sad, they seem to have the knowledge many don't but can't utilize it.

Do all that, and you will look as good as your genes will let you, be content as the arseholes around you will allow, and maybe get a few screws. The particular virtues of weight training are in the discipline it brings to both mind and body, and, if you do it right, it will make you look good naked and do well what you got your clothes off to do." is somebody talking about me?.
Its insane how different people have naturally different appetites, skinny people seem to have an inbuilt cut off switch that I sadly lack, just watching both my sons the difference is insane one does not purposely eat to be slim yet just the right amount of food seems to completely satisfy him,the amount of food that satisfies me totally leads to weight gain. You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
