How sad and depressing it is....way more than if you just went on through the day as if you were normal....when you sit down its like...holy ****.....

I sit down and thank God for all the blessings in my life. You should look at what you do have and not focus on the things that you do not have or want to have. If you are really feeling bad then you may want to look into some meds and maybe seek counseling. We all get the blues from time to time though so hang in there and be thankful for all that you have.

I feel the same way and this is the response I have been getting from loved ones. It is spot on. I am trying to find my happy place, you should too. Try to have fun or do something fun everyday. It seems hard when you are in that state of mind, but you have got to try.Originally Posted by JolietKev

Life is a funny thing, and it's really all about perspective. When you think about it, Bill Gates and the bum on the corner of the street have one huge thing in common, they are both going to end up dead with nothing.
When you look at life that way, it's an easy way to make yourself feel suicidal in a matter of hours.
But, in the end, we are all here on earth. Obviously we leave with nothing and who knows what happens afterwards, but for now, we are here and we might as well make the best of it. I bust my ass in the gym everyday... yet if I make it to 80 years old, that will be rather useless as my body will eventually be destroyed by the toll of time. BUT that's later, this is NOW. We live NOW.
I guarantee you i'm suffering more than most of you here, I've been ill everyday for the past four years, doctors find no cure for me, yet I'm still moving on with life and kicking it's ass in the ways I still can. It's tough to find a reason.... but I get up, trees are still growing, birds are chirping, life is still evolving... something tells me I should keep doing the same (and no, it's not easy).

The impressive thing about the man was how he actually bothered to listen to the peckerhead Post-Adolescent Angst Bull****e I had to say. (Something I didn't really get at that self-centric phase of my life.)
As I was getting up to leave because I'd spotted my friends coming out of the cheap casino I'd been bounced from... I went to go shake his hand...
He Latched on like a vice grips... Looked straight at me with his yellow eyes and said "Always Remember... When the Darkness gets up on you in this life... All you have to do to chase the shadows away is turn your light up!"

The reality is that life is always going to get up on you with trouble and problems... The problems are going to change as you grow... life is like that... It's a Dynamic Process...
If you want to win... You want to become strong on the path of personal power... You have to dig deep and find the courage to turn your particular personal light up, against the weight of whatever XYZ darkness happens to be creeping into your soul ass hole first.
Until you embrace the courage and challenges of staying mindfully positive about your life in the midst of all that is going wrong... You will always be let down, pissed off, under appreciated, and sad.
And since that's no Goddam way to go through life... Then you damn well better put more energy into turning your light up... Because the shadows... They're always going to be dark. So change what you can change to make it better in your life!

The first thing I do each morning before I get out of bed is thank God for the day and the opportunities I have been given. I then tell myself that this is going to be a great day. Then, no matter how you look, Smile at yourself and make a funny face in the mirror. Even when you look and feel tired in the morning you can still laugh at yourself.
