-USA has massive debt and the economy looks like its going down the toilet
- Government knows this will lead to rioting and uprisings/civil war and such
- Pass gun laws now, and within a year or 2 when the **** hits the fan there will be less guns available.

Any other first world country. Canada is basically America junior but we don't have murder rates anywhere near America's. And the only one mass shooting I can think of took place in quebec 20 or 30 years ago, and those guys are barely Canadian as it is.
It's so weird that people being shot daily is just a normal thing for the Americans in this thread. If there was a shooting here it would be a pretty big deal.
