Mech6 that build is going to be epic!

Well I watched a guy stick weld and I was wearing a $460 Miller auto dark helmet set on the dark side , and I did notice my eyes felt a little strange when I left .
Wish they could make a welding helmet that had a 4K camera on the front and a high res lcd screen inside , so you could avoid them dam rays altogether .
This guy teaches at the college and he's offered to teach me Tig welding at his shop . Hope I get the hang of it

Looks nice. This is a proper design for FT with adjustable arms. 2:1 ratio, 44.5 travel on the guide rods?

Along with the integrated pull up bar, I think it needs a dip function. That way, you can complete heavy compound exercises as well as all of the gay FT stuff.

Agreed on the dip function. That would be the icing on the cake. The syrup on the pancake. The crumble on top of the blue berry muffins. The tall heels and pantyhose on the prostitute. The star on top of the Christmas tree. The chrome dubs on the 86 caprice. You get the point.

I thought about having an upright down the middle but I figured it would just be clutter and not really useful. The attachment points are there, it could be added eventually.

Central upright could also have leg hold down attachment if you linked both arms with 1 lat bar for instance for 250lb lat pulls. Something kind of like the cybex bravo has.

i was thinking about asking for that and selling my body solid lat machine but i kind of like it and it has a small footprint. It would be a good addition for seperate arms movement but i can find something else to hold my legs. i was already over budget on this one, i had to stop somewhere!

MIG. I only break out the TIG if I have to weld stainless or aluminium.
Parts are laser cut (better/faster/cleaner/cheaper than plasma). They're sent out to companies who do it.

I'm pretty pumped to see how these turn out. I'm unlikely to ever own an FT (far down the list but who knows) but given you turn racks and pull-up handles into art...I'm confident it's going to be damn cool.

Now that you have gotten into the FT game do you envision possibly making Lat PD/Row combo units ever? I think your thread has us Canadians constantly dreaming.

Again, this is probably a one time thing. We'll see. But it's quite a long build (compared to a rack for example), and I can't limit myself like that too often. It's going to be a few weeks of 100% this and nothing else. Racks I used to make a few at the same time.
Aren't there a million lat/low row combos already? I'm sure Atlantis has at least one.

I appreciate the work you do and thought if you were going to start venturing outside of racks that it is always nice to go with someone like yourself. Atlantis does make some nice combo units as well as the BodySolid SLM 300G, hopefully a used piece will pop up in my lifetime. Thanks

Can't wait to try them out. They look great.

Look at this **** from rogue.

    *ww.roguefitness.com/infinity-strap-safety-system-2-0

Sure they look slightly easier to use that the old strap safety (and cheaper to make), but i dont understand why they need to make a half assed version "2.0". I already own the godam rack, i'm not going to be upsold to the RM rack for a proper strap safety.

Look at this **** from rogue.

    *ww.roguefitness.com/infinity-strap-safety-system-2-0

Sure they look slightly easier to use that the old strap safety (and cheaper to make), but i dont understand why they need to make a half assed version "2.0". I already own the godam rack, i'm not going to be upsold to the RM rack for a proper strap safety.
not sure what you are saying? how is that a half assed version, and not a proper strap safety? I have the monster lite version and they work great. I like them better then the monster style as you can take them off without on-bolting them. And they are plenty strong, I have done 800lb rack pulls on it. I think it is good they came out with the infinity version of these. Not sure why the hate.

It's different, which is always good. A few trial and error moments however, which I could do without.
