Im currently mass building (currently 5'8", 161 lbs---shooting for for the 200+ lbs range over a few years) and don't do much cardio. Of course, I find that I also gain a few pounds on the "love-handles" while bulking up. Should I go ahead combine cardio to try to minimize fat gain or should I continue as I do now and just bulk up to some target weight and then do cardio/cut-up when I have enuff mass already?
Well man, unless your bulking perfectly, for my own sake I've realized I should do some cardio to keep the pounds down. My last bulking phase didn't go well, and without cardio that only makes it worse. Now I'm using cardio and still gain muscle. Its all about how you body reacts to training and various dieting. Test different things and use what works.
While bulking, what time of day is cardio-work usually recommended? I tried doing it this morning BEFORE breakfast, and for like 5 hours of the day I felt real weak and tired...arghhhh....So do we really need to do cardio before breakfast while bulking?
