I left Fishoil caps in my pants in my dryer
I accidentally left 2 fishoil caps in my workout pants. I washed them and thought they had dissolved but they hadn't so i put my pants in the dryer I came down to my dryer like an hour later and the entire downstairs smelled like fish i nearly gaged. All my cloths now smell like fish even after washing them a couple times over. What should i do? What gets out the smell? Has anyone done this or broke a fishoil cap? I should have known that the fishoil caps didn't break yet in the washer, i thought they might have dissolved with no issue but i forgot that it should have smelled like rotten fish! I realy need these workout pants right now they're outside trying to airout but i doubt it will be a success :-(

That stink is even worse than real fish! I think they actually locate the fish's stink gland, and that's where they get the oil from...

I did that before. But luckily they didn't break open. They were just really soggy.

I woke up put on some shorts, put my fishoil and multi in my pocket because i was going to go down and eat breakfast. After i put my oatmeal in the microwave i ran downstairs to put on my work cloths, I put the cloths i had on previously in the washer with some other dirty cloths and forgot i had the pill in my shorts until after i had eaten my oatmeal. By that time i ran downstairs to see if they dissolved and couldn't find them so i thought they had. They probably stuck to one of my shirts or something.Originally Posted by VPXSports

Try washing the clothes with apple cider vinegar. Not sure if it will work but it gets the fish smell off your hands after you handle raw fish...

Did close to the same thing but i left a couple caps in my car and the heat melted them, holy crap did my car stink for days!!!!!!!!!

That sucks but I think you will need to throw the clothes away and get new ones.
