    Question Boxing for Cardio

I just joined a new gym with a heavy bag and wanted to try to encorporate some boxing into my routine. I've never boxed before, but from what I can see and have read, it looks like a great workout. I really don't know where to begin with it, though:

    - How long should I go for?
    - Do I need wraps or bag gloves?
    - What kind of punches/combos should I do it with?

Like I said, I really don't know what I'm doing, so any advice and/or links would be great. I searched and found some people saying it was great, although I didn't see too many beginner boxing tips. Thanks guys.
not big yet... but im gonna get there

I am no expert (@ boxing at least) on this but if you want to encorporate some at the end of your workout that is fine. I would just keep it at a relatively low intensity for no longer than 30 min to prevent yourself from burning off hard earned muscle.

As far as gloves, it's probably required at your gym to wear them for hitting a bag....even if its not I highly recommend using them or else you might find yourself cutting up your knuckles. It doesn't matter what types of punches you are doing as long as you are getting some sort of aerobic exercise. You are doing this for cardio afterall and not to become the next heavyweight champion.
