Do homeless who sleep on the streets look at tent cities like it’s Beverly Hills?

I’ve seen videos of some crazy tent setups. One dude had a designated living room, bedroom and kitchen full of furniture and portable appliances inside his tent.

If you were homeless, why not find like an abandoned factory or warehouse, move a mattress in, a few sheets and a pillow, and sleep there? Get a camping stove, and once you've got supplies of food, you're almost golden.

Yes, there s a homeless hierarchy. The ones who are ballin' have tents and shopping carts. They laugh at the other homeless who aren't on their level.

On a more serious note, I've tried to take on as projects four different homeless people. Only one of them is no longer homeless; the other three failed miserably. The worst was Ralph who had a learning disability. I took him to social security and found out he is eligible for payments. I completed his application for food stamps online. I got him a free cell phone.

The only thing Ralph needed to do was show up the next day at the park to do the interview and then would start getting several hundred dollars a month social security and food stamps.

He no showed for the interview. When I ran into him later he said he didn't have money for the bus. The cell phone which was still in the box when I gave it to him, he gave away telling me it didn't work.

The moral of the story - in life and in business - is that you can not care about something more than that person.

and then when they pass out while they're cooking or doing drugs, they set the building on fire. happened last christmas two blocks from my house. homeless dude was squatting in an apartment complex that was still being constructed. burnt the whole thing down around midnight.

We used to have a guy around here that lived in a chitty small motor home. Would park it in a grocery store parking lot or back street for a few days until they ran him off and then he would move on to the next one.
