I know it's not the coolest car in the world and it's a Boomer icon, but I bought one low mileage in great shape and at a good deal. There are a lot of better cars you can get and this one's pretty affordable for anyone who's not totally poor, but it's got character, it's reliable, it's fast and pretty impressive for what it is, honestly. You brahs who have C7s or 8s or European supercars have got me beat, but this is still a sports car and I feel pretty great owning one. What do you think of it?

Arguably the absolute best value for a sports car there is, if you look at all factors.
There may be niche vehicles that do individual things better (Miata does better at AutoX, "luxury" sports cars of comparable age may be more comfy, etc....) but if you look at every single factor all together... a C5 Z06 at the prices they currently cost are incredibly hard to beat in terms of value, especially once you start modding.MISC Haxball Crew

My daily is a c5. I’m the 2nd owner. Had it for 6 years. Hot pink, c6 front & rear custom bumpers. Decently built engine.
Vortech ysi blower going on either this week or next. I should be sitting around 800whp for less than $20k total.
Pretty hard to beat that. Join the c5 modified ******** group. Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter - Martin Luther King, Jr.

I remember trying to finance one when I was like 22 and getting turned down cuz no credit history. Always loved corvettes, finally got a 92 C4 with a 6 speed when I was 30. Now I have a 2019 ZO6 which is amazing but I still miss my C4 in a way. Never drove a C5 but I’m sure you’ll have a lot of fun with it!

Here's me about to pull out of the dealership with it.

(Don't know how to imbed the image honestly...)
It's not a Z06 and so I know it's less performance oriented but I'm still glad I got a convertible. I bought it in Dallas and on the way out of the city, having to get around a semi that was closing in on the lane, it really started flying suddenly when I hit the gas, but it feels like a normal car when you're just regularly driving. Great daily driving feel for that reason IMO.Bench: 350
