Why not just get the model that came out the year before it for like 1/10th the price? My phone is a Note 9 (released 5 years ago) and runs flawlessly. Buying the brand new phone is literally a sub 100 IQ tax. You're being preyed upon and carved up like a chump.

I'm also still using my note9 (Though I did buy it when it came out).

Still works flawlessly, and it's battery is legitimately better than S23, even after 5 years. My wife has the 23, my battery outlasts hers hardcore.

Recently got a year old refurbished Pixel from Amazon for $220. Looks and works perfectly. I've been going the refurbish route for years. I've only had one bad one, I complained to Amazon and they sent me a new one.

for a recent previous model and buying new the discount is closer to 20% (excluding sales), It is no where near 90% off for a decent phone.
