One of my favorite movies when I was a young child was Homeward Bound. It's about 2 dogs and a cat that get lost or something and they have to find their way back home to their child owners. I recall one of the dogs being an old, wise golden retriever.

Let me tell you something about Dog Gone

I admire the owner whom they based this movie on. Won’t spoil it but I recall being diagnosed with what he had. Before I knew I had it. But he kept on moving forward and looking for his best friend even in all that unbearable pain and agony. I could in no way continue going as long as he did.

Homeward bound from your childhood is a surprise. Thought you were older. No offense just I thought Old Yeller would be closer to yours than homeward bound!

The ending of Marley and Me made me die inside. It was absolutely awful to watch. I have a yellow lab whos 12 years old, and I am terrified for when that day comes.
