RDR vs RDR2: Which is your favorite?

The common consensus seems to be that RDR2 is the clear victor. Better graphics, bigger map, more realism; but is it the better game?

IMO, the first was just more fun to play. The gunfights were better, controls were better, the characters were more memorable and funny, more duels, and that ending of course.

What say you gaming misc? Please vote if you've played both. If you haven't played both, which did you play?

It's at least half as good. Most people seem to prefer it over RDR.

If you stick to the main missions, it's not overly long.

Never played revolver. Read about it and it seemed to take itself way less seriously. Closest I played to it was Gun. That game was fun.

Heck Revolver goes back to the golden age of Rockstar back when they made more than just GTA and RDR. I miss seeing games like Smugglers Run, Midnight Club, and The Warriors from them. That Rockstar is long gone sadly.

The Warriors was one of my favorite PS2 games. Not often you get to steal car radios in a game.

I forget a lot about the game but it was still fun. Definitely was more cartoonist but similar enough story line, still had dead-eye, etc.

Rockstar games gotta have the worst online experiences these days, it's amazing how GTA Online has been such a cash cow for them. Chit's like nothing besides a massive grind full of griefers and cheaters.

Lol that sucks. I had the opposite experience. A hacker shot me with a mini gun for 5 min and every bullet dropped me 40k. I ended up with like 100 million and never had to grind again, it was magical.

RDR1 was a classic and one of the greatest games ever made.



RDR2 while being one of the most technically impressive games ever made and does so many things well, end of the day it just wasn't a fun video game. I tried my best to get into it, triple dipped, but the game is just a slog no matter what.

I couldn't put RD1 down, played through it twice. Bought RD2 when it first released, and still have't beaten it, just can't get into it like RD 1. It looks amazing, but it's just not captivating as the original.

I pushed myself to play like 20 hours of RDR2 when it released before stopping and never picking it up again. Just wasn't fun at all. I remember the controls particularly felt off for some reason.

RDR1 I enjoyed it the whole way through. Even did a ton of side content that I'd normally skip.

That's the difference between white hat and black hat hackers. I don't know why anyone would black hat a game unless they're trying to be an ass and ruin everyone's experience. The white hat guys are always fun to come across, only happened to me a couple times though. I think hacked servers were the most common, might have been in some old COD games where I saw crazy EXP hacks.
