    DL question

Long story short. Ive just done partial deadlifts with 440 lbs. It was the first time in years. Ive now got that tingling sensation in my lower back, totally lower just above glutes. that feeling that makes you affraid to pick something up from the floor. I think you get it. My question is.is this cause for concern or a natural response to first time DL? How long should I rest in days?its not a matter of strength as I can farmers walk with 440.

I want to prevent things and if this isnt the exercise for me then better safe then sorry. Bodies are built different.

Form is everything with DL. Since you haven't done it in years, it's even more relevant to place extra attention your form and flexibility. See how it feels over the next few days; could just be fatigue and soreness.
Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say if what you’re feeling in your back can’t be easily identified as DOMS your form could probably use work. Try to video yourself and perhaps post it here to get some feedback.

I dont feel like immediate soreness is a bad sign got it a lot. I just had it in my lower back appearantly lower then the farmers walk touches. It seems to be getting less and cant really be described as pain but it did make me a bit less mobile. I was just wondering natural or cause of concern.

I just had a powernap seems a bit better now. When i lie on my back amd try to turn i feel the soreness in my lower back. Is it normal the deadlift activates some musvles in your lower back hardly used by other exercises? My lower back is a sore mess.

Also how many rest days is best.

Looking at it now it seems to be soreness as I am able to move again some hours later. Meaning the stiffness has reduced. May wake up stiff. Of course all exercise attack your muscles all in their own way and their own muscles, the thing I find weird with the deadlift though is thst it seems to touch some lower back muscles that dont seem to be touched by any other exercise. I am pretty fit and max out most. I also find the feeling weird that the muscle is incontrollable you can squeeze your abs but it touches the very bottom of your back or even upper glutes. Maybe its just thr last spot thst needs some work in my body. Pretty sure if I fix it ill be throwing sround crazy weights soon. The thought just scared me wanted some pro opinion.

Probably nothing major, but just see a physio - this is hardly the place to diagnose!
