I would like to thank Animal and their rep team for hooking me up with their new pre-workout: FURY! I will use a serving of Fury daily before my workouts. i will describe other aspects of my diet and training in this log as well.
Fitness Background
I am 6'0" 221 lbs and around 11-12% body fat. I have been bodybuilding for almost 4 years, but I have always been involved in athletics and lifting throughout high school and college.
My current training program consists of power lifting, hypertrophy training, and regular cardiovascular/aerobic exercise. I regularly play in basketball leagues, about 1-2 times a week. I also periodically do yoga, usually once a month (I stretch regularly of course too). I train every day of the week immediately after work (sometimes I do two-a-days with a morning workout, but haven't been doing that lately), and I usually spend at least 2 hours in the gym per day. I workout on weekends as well. I usually put even more time in the gym on the weekend. I rarely take rest days (will work on increasing those during this log). I usually don't have the opportunity to sleep more than 7 hours a night, but I have been working on sleep hygiene. I may try to switch up this intense routine and look to take more rest days or just lift less and do more cardio. We will see! I will provide all the details!
Nutrition
I am not as exacting and disciplined as I should be with my nutrition, but I have built healthy habits. I also endeavor ambitiously to curb my insatiable sweet tooth. I will eat 10% less than my total energy expenditure (TEE), which is 3,669 kcal. Still working out my macro breakdown. I plan to have that figured out tomorrow and will post. Generally, my diet is high protein (.9-1.2 grams per pound) with the rest composed of complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, and lots of fruits and vegetables. I sometimes deviate and binge on sweets. Additionally, I stay very well hydrated. I drink a gallon of water throughout the day at least, always have a liter of water by my side! My diet will be detailed during the log.
Supplementation
My supplementation is simple. I take maintenance doses of creatine monohydrate (5 grams), betaine anhydrous (2.5 grams), and beta-alanine (3.2 grams) and regularly use pre-, intra-, and post-workout (protein powder) products.. I also take 2000-5000 IU of vitamin D3, 250 mg of magnesium (TRAACs or magnesium oxide), and a b-complex vitamin daily (sometimes I switch in a multivitamin instead - currently using True Grit Multivitamin). I periodically use fish oil and zinc.
Animal Fury Labels
Animal Fury Watermelon
I also have a tub of green apple fury which I will mix into the log as well.
Animal Fury Preview
Animal has released its new pre-workout, which has a simple label geared toward improving exercise performance. I think the formula is unfortunately abbreviated with only 7 active ingredient and three of those being BCAAs. Fortunately, the other chosen ingredients are well dosed and effective. The 6 grams of citrulline malate, 2 grams of beta-alanine with the gram of l-tyrosine and 350 mg of caffeine really carry the acute effects of the formula. These will provide decent effects especially to those who are novices to pre-workout use. I would like to see some more stimulants and nootropic in the formula, but this is a decent label. Overall, this formula slightly lets me down as a product of the well-esteemed "Animal" but in general and in comparison to other pre-workout products it is a reasonably effective pre-workout.
In terms of training with Fury (only have a few session with it under my belt), I have been generally happy with it. The energy is smooth and has some intensity. It is crashless too. So overall the caffeine and tyrosine do their job. There isn't much in the way of focus effect, which I wish there was more of. The performance is strong and consistent though. It was versatile for cardio, powerlifting, and hypertrophy lifting. It is good for any workout. I have found it the best for powerlifting routines because its clean profile and effects.
The watermelon flavor was pretty tasty and pleasing, but it was a little strong. The powder mixed up pretty well. Solid flavor overall: 9/10. I will share more thoughts on the flavor, and my thoughts on the green apple flavor as the log progresses.
Right now Animal sits at an 8/10 product for me.

Fury is continuing to power me through workouts. Everything performance-wise hinges on the citrulline malate, beta alanine, and caffeine. It is really a pretty simple product. It isn't delivering anything fancy in terms of effects, but the performance improvement is still noticeable. It is also a product that is suited well for heavy/power lifting because you don't deal with being stimmed out/tachycardia ever. The flavor is enjoyable too, which is a major plus.
Here's what I did yesterday!
Pre-Workout:
1 scoop of Animal Fury (watermelon) in 8 oz of water + 5 g of creatine monohydrate
7 minute mile for a warm up
Flat Bench
135 lbs 25 reps
155 lbs 20 reps
185 lbs 15 reps
205 lbs 12 reps
225 lbs 10 reps
245 lbs 7 reps
275 lbs 4 reps
Superset:
Incline Bench 5 x 12 185 lbs
DB Flat Bench 5 x 12 80 lbs
Superset:
Cable Crossover 5 x 20 reps 70 lbs resistance on each side
Wide set push ups 5 x 15
Superset:
Pec deck 5 x 12 reps 120 lbs
Shoulder Press Machine 5 x 12 reps 130 lbs
Arnold Press 50 lbs 100 reps as fast as possible
Triset:
Band Tricep Pushdowns 5 x 30
Skull Crushers 5 x 20 85 lbs
Close Grip Press w/ Z-bar 85 lbs (transitioned to immediately after skull crushers)
Diamond Push ups 75 as fast as possible
1 hour of basketball
Thoughts on workout:
Great workout once again! Felt like boulder shoulders and had a pumped chest after the lift. Messed up my shooting a little in the bball game, but the game served for some great cardio.
Nutrition:
Breakfast: 1 apple with 2 servings of Phase 8 in 10 oz of 1% milk.
2000 IU of vitamin D3 and a B-Complex.
Lunch: Chicken alfredo and asparagus
Dinner: Quiche

Going to wrap this log up as I have had quite a bit of experience with Animal Fury up to this point. I really haven't shifted my opinion on Animal Fury over the course of the long. It was great to get to try both formula though. Both the flavors are great (watermelon and green apple). The formula is abbreviated but deserves props for transparency. I would have love to see a few more acute acting ingredients in the blend. Maybe another stimulant or additional focus or pump ingredients. Overall, it is a decent pre-workout, especially for heavy, performance based workouts.

Animal Fury Final Review (Both flavors)
Animal has released its new pre-workout, which has a simple label geared toward improving exercise performance. The 6 grams of citrulline malate, 2 grams of beta-alanine with the gram of l-tyrosine and 350 mg of caffeine really carry the acute effects of the formula. It is good for any workout. I found it the best for powerlifting routines because its clean profile and effects.
The watermelon flavor was pretty tasty and pleasing, but it was a little strong. The green apple flavor is so good! Has an excellent, mouth-watering kick to it! The powder mixed up pretty well. Solid flavor overall: 9/10.
Overall this is an 8/10 product.☑*CountryMike Appreciation Crew*☑
