Resident Evil 7 is aiming to be the GOAT RE game

This game is going to be beautiful, while going back to the survival horror roots that made it great.

More puzzles, herbs, etc with NO QTE and limited weapons.








I don't play many single player games, but this will be a day 1 play for me.

Having played RE 1-6, this doesn't feel RE to me, not liking the first person view.

But it is real. I mean, it's not like they just handed out some cutscenes. It's actual gameplay.

And I think they really only made it first person to cater to the VR players, but it doesn't matter much to me.

Every huge hyped game in recent memory has had issues with its release. All of them had these same videos.

That aiming (for lack of a better word) looks atrocious. Then again if this is going back to its re roots, makes perfect sense as you had no fukking clue where you were actually aiming the gun in re1-3 (since there was no laser sight).

Resident evil always had terrible aiming mechanics and camera angles. It almost added to the suspense of the game. I actually loved 4 the best though many people think it was too fast paced to be a true survival game. But to me it was the goat.

Wow dude not even joking when the bad lady in the vid grabbed her from behind i was already expecting to see the bad ladies face pop up but for some reason it made me flinched even though i expected it. Feels good man haven't had that in aggggges. Last game was Dead Space 1-2.

2,4 and 1 will always be god tier. Not sure how I feel about this really. Fpv is my biggest gripe. Then again they barely showed anything interesting.

Resident Evil 4 had pretty good aiming mechanics, though you did have to stop and aim and couldn't walk while aiming like in dead space. Had RE6 not gone full retard, it would have surpassed RE5 easily, though probably still not be in the same level as RE4. Then again, nothing holds a candle to RE4.

Also in regards to the video, looks like they implemented the quick 180° turn from the early games. Nice, since you'll probably be running away half the time, and having to turn the camera is probably more clunky.

I think there's hope for the game, but time will tell.

Maybe we'll get another third person spinoff that doesn't suck. Have heard good things about resident evil revelations, but still haven't played it.

ACTUALLY we will get something good, since re2 is being remade. So there is that to look forward to if this game goes too far off the beaten path.
