    Question tryng to understanding drop sets

    Changing my question around from first post. When I'm doing drop sets do I only do this once per muscle part? Example if I'm doing chest and say I'm doing Incline dumb bells then incline fly's fallowed by flat bench bar then finish decline, do I just do incline bells drops with say 100lbs for 8 then 80lbs for 6 then 60lbs for 6. After that continue with sets of 3 on other routines or add drops to say flat bench?

    Usually you do a drop set at the last set of an exercise,how many exercises you do drop sets on is your decision. Could look like this.

    Set 1: 100 lbs x 8
    Set 2: 100 lbs x 8
    Set 3: 100 lbs x 8
    80 lbs x 6
    60 lbs x 6

    Ok thank you. It's new to me. Do I do it at the end of every set or just the one exercise?

    He hit the nail on the head. The drop sets are used to exhaust the part of the muscle that you're hitting.

    Don't do it after every set, do it at the end of every exercise.

    Got it thank you for the help. First article I read on it would of had me doing too many drop sets per workout. Thanks for the clarification.
