What Pre-Workout ingredient/s can make you feel anxious?

    i got two questions!

    1) Caffeine is given. But are there any other stimulant/s that are used in pre-workouts aside from Caffeine?
    2) Do these ingredients could also give you anxiety attacks?

    BCAA 3:1:1
    Glutamine
    Creatine
    Beta-Alanine
    Betaine
    Taurine
    BioPerine
    Citrulline Malate 2:1
    L-Carnitine L-Tartrate

    thanks

There are other stimulants used in pre workouts, none of which are on your list. Examples might include phenethylamine, synephrine, higenamine, amp etc.

out of the list of ingredients, the only one you would actually feel would be the beta alanine, but according to studies BA may possess anxiety reducing properties. are u sure its anxiety and not Parasthesia???

Of the ingredients you listed, none will give you the same sort of CNS-stimulation derived anxiety that stimulants would.

Other than caffeine, nothing out of that list. One to look out for is yohimbe though. A lot of people really disagree with that ingredient.

The biggest anxiety causing combination that you will find is when a supplement contains:

    Caffeine + Tyrosine and/or Tyramine +Yohimbe/Rauwolfia

Any form of yohimbine, whether it be regular yohimbe extract, pure yohimbine, rauwolfia extract, or rauwolscine -- should never be combined with tyrosine or tyramine. This will cause something known as a "cheesing effect" and is actually a documented interaction. A decade or so ago there was a popular energy drink yanked off of the shelves because of the combination. I would even avoid L-DOPA with yohimbine.

Taking caffeine with the combination of the two above, will just make matters worse

Consider half lives of course. If you take Yohimbine in the morning, you can take L-DOPA before bed
