Only making 10k more a year but how are you so strapped? Last year I was at 60k and still felt like I was rolling in money.

Found that when I paid off my car and bought a smaller house after I relocated the drop in the car payment and mortgage made a huge difference.

Also started leaving my debit card at home srs and only grocery shopping once a week. So I stopped dropping $20 a day on coffee/gum/snacks or eating out.

I you increase It to 80k it won't make a big difference. Retire slightly earlier or be richer when your 65 if you're frugal, a better car or house which will still neither be high end. Increasing salary is one of societies' many pipe dreams. Find a better way bro, but comparing salaries to another person's is pointless, because odds are your both poor slaves, like 99% of us

Yeah, I would hope to be making a bit more at 30, but depending on your qualifications and stuff, 60k is still better than most people in this country. If you're single, it's not bad at all.

focus on learning and building a skillset. even at 30 OP. If you're not learning, change jobs. If your boss isn't a supportive mentor that genuinely wants you to succeed, change jobs. If your company isn't a great environment and growing, leave. Learn, learn, learn. ask for more responsibilities. Introduce new ideas to the group. You'll wake up in 1-2 years and you'll be earning more.

But 60K aint bad and you'll continue to rise if you follow my advice.

I can't wait to be done with my car payment and credit cards. I feel like im just leaking money with those two things. I spend almost 1000+ a month alone in my car(car,insurance,gas)
