MuscleTech Platinum 100% Whey -- Milk Chocolate Supreme

One of the perks was that I was given a tub of their Platinum 100% Whey to try out for free. I've been enjoying it very much and this will be my review.

Overall Review:

Taste: 8/10
I really like the taste of this protein. Chocolate is pretty much my go-to flavor and I've tried a fair share of other brands. It is very smooth and creamy, and doesn't taste like chemicals or artificial sweeteners to me. It's perfectly mellow, not an overly bold chocolate flavor, light and well flavored. This is probably one of my favorite chocolate flavored powders I've had so far, definitely top 3. It's much better than average (5), but a (10) would have had me blown away. Overall very tasty and I always look forward to drinking it. I always use milk, so that should be kept in mind as I'm sure water would make the taste different. It also has a very pleasant smell, very similar to brownie mix or cake batter.

Mixability: 10/10
This stuff mixes very, very well. I use a blender bottle normally and I've tried it without the ball too, and it still mixes 100%. As can be seen in the third photo there aren't any clumps or chunks of powder left, and that was after minimal shaking. I've noticed just a quick shake will get it all mixed up evenly whereas the Cytosport protein I also have needs to be mixed at least two times longer.

Consistency/Texture: 10/10
As I stated above, this protein has a very enjoyable creamy/smooth texture. In the past I've had MuscleTech's Phase 8, and while I liked the taste it was also extremely chalky which I started to dislike over time. This stuff is the exact opposite, much denser and smoother and the powder doesn't get airborne when you shake a bit off the scoop which always annoys me.

Yep, the texture is amazing. Can't stand a chalky or gritty texture, smooth and creamy ftw!

Haven't tried that, I've only really cooked pancakes with protein powder. Have you made cookies before, how did they end up?

I'm not much of a baker with protein at all. There is some pretty crazy recipes on this site.

I tried making that one time, with some different protein though. Ended up tasting a bid odd. I might make a small batch with some of this Platinum whey and see how it ends up.
