A couple that our family somewhat knew recently broke up, and we got all sorts of cool stuff from them for free. One of the items was this old old wooden cabinet with a mirror on it.
Sometime after we got it my mom asked all the family members if someone keeps touching the mirror as there keeps appearing fingerprints on it even though she cleans it. Nobody has, and we begin to keep an eye on it. I personally wanted to see whats the deal so I cleaned the whole mirror myself. 5 days later I remembered that I was supposed to keep an eye on it. I went to check it out and well you can guess the rest.
My parents also remember when they went to pick it up from the couple they had said "Remember to clean it up every once in a while, theres always fingerprints on it"
I am sure that no one from our house is touching it.

Dust it for prints like in CSI. What are the fingerprint patterns? How wide are the fingers, how's the spread, are the lines defined or does it look smudged?
If you don't have kids in your house and nobody is touching it just for lulz then it's strange. I never touch mirrors personally.

Maybe the prints were coming from within the reflection, as if someone were trapped within. But if cleaning it removed the prints even temporarily then my initial theory would be wrong.Originally Posted by Knaakak

guess you can set up a camera at an angle that you can see the mirror and light reflecting on it so it can see fingerprints? That way you can see if the fingerprints just randomly show up.

Just went and cleaned it up again, made sure no stains were in it. Will report back when / if something appears on it. Maybe I can try to take a pic of whatever might be on it.
