    Wrist Flexibility?

I started olympic lifting today, did some push presses and jerks but fast realized i just couldnt rack the bar on my shoulders and immediately press/jerk. Is this a problem? Will this go away as I become comfortable racking it, or should i do something about it?

It will definitely go away with time, you have to work on it with an empty bar - put it on your shoulders and try to bring your elbows up as high as possible to achieve the front rack position and hold for 30 seconds. Do this as part of your warm-up and it will get better sooner or later, like any other stretch.

I've had the same Front Rack issue. As mchase126 mentioned, it does go away, but you do have to work on your flexibility and mobility. I highly recommend taking a look at Kelly Starret's Youtube channel for Mobility/Flexibility episodes. Picked up a lot of good things from him.
Desire is only a thought, an impulse. It is nebulous and ephemeral. It is abstract, and of no value until it has been transformed into its physical counterpart.
